Machine embroidery thread must run at high
speeds on a machine, as well as be washable and
enduring – all treatments of Madeira’s threads,
including Madeira Classic Rayon concentrate on
strict environmental regulations to achieve this.
Dyes comply with all legal requirements for
humans and ecosystems and originate only from
recognised suppliers invested with ISO and OEKO-
TEX Certification and those registered to REACH.
Madeira’s patented dyeing process uses 60% less
water, in turn saving energy.
The dyehouse recycles water and any remains are
treated and re-processed back in to the water
system. Only carefully treated effluent is
discharged and dye cones are re-used.
Production processes are controlled under ISO
9001. Only clean energy (gas) is used in
production, thus reducing emissions.
Madeira has developed an energy transfer/heat
exchange drying system which only uses recycled
heat from other processes. Every kilowatt of
energy is reused.
