Benefi ts WebReg
*Holstein UK members WebReg allows newborn calves to be registered for a passport and pedigree certifi cate in one transaction. It is cheaper and quicker than TeleReg and can also be done out of hours.
Breeding Toolbox *Holstein UK members
One universal log-in allows access to Breeding Toolbox which allows reports to be run and used between tools. For example a group of cows can be selected in ClassAct then transferred to WebMate to fi nd bulls to correctively mate them with.
ClassAct *Holstein UK members
Eight separate reports are available to analyse herd classifi cation visits. Results can be compared by sires, families, national averages, benchmark on previous visits, rank results on classifi cation traits and the latest report, The Red Tractor report, can be used to supply data to fulfi l your milk contract with condition scores, mobility scores etc.
BullSelector *CDI users and Holstein UK members
CDI works with DairyCo to maintain the list of between 1600 and 1800 Holstein Friesian bulls currently available in the UK AI market , making BullSelector independent and current. As well as being built in to WebMate breeders can use this independent service to select sires to meet their criteria.
WebMate *Holstein UK members
Popularly described as a “computer dating website for cows”, WebMate enables mating recommendations to be constructed for a whole herd or selected groups of animals using a combination of either AI semen available or farm fl ask bulls. This is a totally independent tool that helps with, regular breeding decisions, or corrective matings and takes full account of potential inbreeding. However, herds recorded with milk recording offi cials that do not store information in CDI might fi nd they have animals no longer in the herd on their lists.
Virtual Cow *Holstein UK members
This great learning tool shows the difference linear traits make to an animal. Covering 17 individual traits scored during regular classifi cation, including body condition score, there is a slider that can be moved to visibly show how each score appears on the animal. Built in video clips with commentary for locomotion illustrate vividly what each score means in practice.
