Picsolve appoints Dan Maunder as new Chief


Technology Officer Picsolve has announced the appointment of Dan Maunder, who joins the company as Chief Technology Officer. Garmendale Engineering in Derbyshire, UK has announced the appointment of Kelvin Ensor as General Manager. Kelvin has worked with Garmendale for many years as both supplier and client in the automotive and engineering. “It was just a case of us convincing him to join us” Said Zoe Shelmerdine, Garmendale’s Sales Director. “We’d been tracking his career for sometime and could see a cultural and skills fit with what Kelvin had and what we felt we’d need as the business grew. We’ve now delivered that growth, so the timing was just right and we have our man, so we’re all absolutely delighted” Kelvin’s role will be to oversee and strengthen the business management, procedures and processes and add depth and structure to the sales team through his experience in this area.


Falcon’s Creative Group welcomes industry veteran Mike Wallace as Creative Director


Falcon’s Creative Group, the Orlando-based creative services firm specialising in the design and production of themed experiences, has announced the addition of industry veteran Mike Wallace as its new creative director. In his role at Falcon’s Creative Group, Wallace will be responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s creative team, which consists of group of designers, animators, writers and architects working in themed environmental concept, design and construction. Prior to joining Falcon’s Creative Group, Wallace spent nearly 10 years at Universal Creative, the design and engineering group within Universal Parks and Resorts. “Mike’s architectural background and field experience make him an ideal choice to lead a group of artists and


designers who are imagining concepts that will translate to real-world creations,” said Cecil D. Magpuri, president and chief creative officer at Falcon’s Creative Group. “What attracted me to Falcon’s Creative Group was the opportunity to creatively influence so many of our


clients’ projects in ways that are impactful to the overall story and design of an attraction,” said Wallace. “I have always been passionate about the creative aspects of themed entertainment, so it is an incredible opportunity for me to work with a company that is so heavily involved both the conceptual and production sides of its projects.”


Vortex makes senior management promotions


Vortex Aquatic Structures International, a manufacturer in aquatic play landscapes and entertainment solutions, has announced that Virginie Guilbeault has been promoted to Executive Vice-President, a new position within the firm, and that Louis Parent has been promoted to the role of Vice-President of Operations. Guilbeault, who joined Vortex in 2005 and most recently served as VP Business Development, Europe/Middle East, is now


responsible for sales and operations, including processes and tools. As EVP, Guilbeault will work closely with all members of the Vortex leadership team to ensure alignment with the company's overall strategy and to maintain a strong global customer focus.


As Vice-President of Operations, Parent will oversee manufacturing, supply chain, construction, technical and customer


services. He will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to help meet Vortex customer experience goals on all operational fronts. Parent will also supervise Vortex's world-class customer post-sales experience.
