COVER STORY – BMM
test engineer, White has spent his entire career helping customers grow in an industry that has transformed dramatically over three decades. Today, as BMM’s President of Land-Based Gaming & Inspections, he continues to bring that same practical, engineering mindset to every customer engagement.
“Every product we evaluate represents years of innovation, investment, and hard work by our customers,” White said. “We never lose sight of the responsibility that comes with that. Our role is to test every submission thoroughly, consistently, and objectively so customers and regulators can move forward with confidence.” Today’s suppliers are often navigating multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, each with its own technical standards, submission requirements, and approval processes. Helping customers simplify that complexity has been at the heart of BMM’s work in not just testing and certification, but inspections, product transfers, and QA services.
POWERING THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL GAMING
While BMM’s reputation was built over decades of serving the land-based gaming industry, the Company has also become a recognized leader in digital gaming, helping customers navigate one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic segments of the global market.
Few people have played a bigger role in that journey than Marzia Turrini.
Since joining BMM in 2013, Turrini has helped lead the Company’s expansion in digital gaming, supporting customers as they enter new regulated markets and bring innovative technologies to players around the world. Her leadership has been widely recognized across the industry. In 2025, she received SBC Awards Americas’ Leader of the Year (LATAM) award and was named one of iGB’s Most Influential Women of 2025 for advancing growth and positive change across the global gaming industry. In 2026, she was honored with the Best Executive Leadership award at the Italian Gaming Awards. For Turrini, however, those recognitions reflect the success of BMM’s customers and the talented teams she works alongside every day. “The most rewarding part of what we do is seeing our customers succeed,” Turrini said. “iGaming is evolving incredibly quickly. New regulated markets are opening, technology is advancing, and our customers are constantly finding new ways to create engaging player experiences. It’s exciting to support innovation that is both responsible and compliant.” Whether BMM’s customers are launching in a single jurisdiction, expanding across multiple regulated markets, or embarking on omnichannel opportunities, the Company combines global experience with local regulatory knowledge to help simplify the path to market. “Every customer has a different journey,” Turrini said. “Some are entering a regulated
market for the first time. Others are expanding their existing products around the world. Our role is to understand their goals, help them navigate the regulatory landscape, and help them move forward with confidence.” As digital gaming continues to grow, cybersecurity has become an increasingly important part of the compliance landscape. BMM’s BIG Cyber offers cyber-defense solutions tailored for the gaming industry – everything from penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, PCI:DSS evaluations, and other security services.
With cybersecurity protection increasingly mandated by regulators and governments, such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act, BIG Cyber helps customers build more secure products, reduce cyber risk, and confidently meet today’s growing market and compliance expectations.
TRUST EARNED OVER 45 YEARS As BMM celebrates its 45th anniversary, Storm is quick to point out that the Company’s success has never been measured simply by the number of markets it serves or the technologies it helps bring to market.
He said, “Awards are meaningful because they recognize the hard work of our people. Growth is important because it allows us to support more customers around the world. But what matters most is the trust our customers and regulators place in us every day. That’s something we’ve earned over decades, and it’s something we’ll continue working to earn every single day.” Today, BMM supports more than 1,000 customers across more than 700 regulated gaming jurisdictions from 16 locations on six continents. Yet perhaps BMM’s greatest measure of success isn’t found in those numbers; it’s found in the relationships it has built along the way.
Derik Mooberry, Chief Executive Officer of Zitro USA, describes BMM as “not just a service provider for us; they’re an integral partner in getting our products to market.”
For Walt Eisele, Chief Technology Officer of Scientific Games, BMM’s QA services provide “a great deal of confidence knowing that we have quality testers to ensure lotteries can launch on time with confidence and ensure integrity for both the lottery and their players.” Chris Rogers, Commission Chair of the NHBP Gaming Commission, believes BMM’s value extends well beyond testing.
“BMM provides that extra layer of security; that buffer that ensures everything is on the level,” Rogers said. “BMM also provides education to help our staff be better prepared for what’s to come.”
Then he summed up what BMM has meant to his organization, and what many customers have experienced over the past four-and-a-half decades.
“BMM isn’t just a name of a test lab; it’s a person, and it’s a relationship.”
