Merkur agrees White Hat Studios acquisition deal


Rising Star marks 30th anniversary


Merkur Group has agreed to acquire US online gaming supplier White Hat Studios as it continues to expand its presence in the regulated North American market.


Founded in 2021, White Hat Studios has established itself as a leading US iGaming content provider, becoming the fi rst supplier to launch online slots across all seven regulated states. Its portfolio includes the House of Brands slot collection, the 7s Fire Blitz series and the Jackpot Royale progressive network.


The acquisition follows Merkur’s recent


purchase of Gaming Arts and further strengthens its omni-channel offering across land-based and online gaming. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.


Lars Felderhoff, chairman of the Merkur management board, said: “White Hat Studios has delivered impressive growth since its launch. We look forward to working with the team to continue the US success story and Merkur’s expansion in regulated iGaming.”


White Hat Gaming’s platform and white label businesses are not included in the transaction.


Americas Cardroom unveils $15m Venom series


Americas Cardroom will celebrate its 25th anniversary with its largest-ever Venom tournament series, featuring two Mystery Bounty events with combined guaranteed prize pools of $15 million.


Running from 13 August to 2 September, the schedule includes a $12 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em tournament and a $3 million guaranteed Pot-Limit Omaha event, each with a $2,650 buy-in and eight day one fl ights. The Hold’em tournament offers a top Mystery Bounty of $500,000, while the Omaha event features a $250,000 top bounty. All players reaching Day 2 are guaranteed a cash fi nish before bounty prizes come into play. Americas Cardroom will also award more than 1,500 guaranteed tournament seats through its Venom Fever qualifi cation campaign, alongside a schedule of Venom Specials offering more than $10 million in additional guaranteed prize pools throughout the festival.


Dallmeier extends software support


Dallmeier has introduced an extended software maintenance package that enables customers to keep supported video surveillance systems updated for up to 10 years.


Available for the company’s cameras and recorders, the new package adds a further fi ve years of software maintenance to the standard cover, providing updates, upgrades, cybersecurity patches and neural network updates used for object classifi cation. The initiative is aimed at organisations with long investment cycles, including casinos, critical infrastructure operators and public sector customers seeking greater long-term planning. Christian Linthaler, Chief Sales Offi cer at Dallmeier, said: “With the option to plan software maintenance for up to ten years, we provide our

customers with a high degree of investment protection and long-term certainty. “This is an important factor for the sustainable operation of modern video security systems.” The company said known cybersecurity vulnerabilities will continue to be addressed through security updates throughout the maintenance period where technically feasible.


Rising Star Casino & Resort has launched a programme of promotions to celebrate its 30th anniversary ahead of the property’s offi cial milestone in October.


The Indiana resort, which opened in 1996, is offering anniversary hotel packages, dining promotions and gaming giveaways throughout the summer, including a prize draw featuring a 2026 Ford Bronco Sport and more than $50,000 in prizes. Guests can also take advantage of special accommodation packages running until October, alongside food and beverage offers across the property’s restaurants.


General Manager Jeff Michie said: “Thirty years is an incredible milestone. This anniversary is as much about thanking our guests as it is celebrating our history.”


Over the past three decades, Rising Star has expanded from a casino into a full-service resort with hotels, an RV park, multiple dining venues and a Scottish links-style golf course.


Zitro enters Northern Cyprus market


Zitro has expanded into the Northern Cyprus market through a new installation at Chamada Girne Hotel & Casino.


The deployment introduces the supplier’s Fantasy cabinet for the fi rst time in the territory, featuring the Lion Falls game on the casino fl oor.


The agreement strengthens Zitro’s presence across Europe as the company continues to expand into new regulated gaming markets.


Representatives from Chamada Girne Hotel & Casino said Fantasy would provide a valuable addition to the property’s gaming offering and expressed confi dence that the product would be well received by customers.
