1xCare names player protection advisory committee
1xCare has appointed an independent Advisory Committee to oversee its player protection and responsible gambling programme following the initiative’s launch at iGB Live.
Chaired by Simon Westbury (pictured), the committee also includes Quirino Mancini, Chris Bird and Sissel Weitzhändler, bringing expertise in gambling regulation, law, public policy, governance and sports integrity. The committee will oversee 1xCare’s four strategic pillars: Research Hub, EduCare, TechShield, and Support & Well-Being. Its responsibilities include policy oversight, funding allocation, ethical standards and compliance, with a focus on regulated markets. Westbury said: “We have brought together
independent expertise in gambling
regulation, law and sports integrity, and given the committee genuine
authority over
how our programmes are governed and funded. Responsible gambling is a duty, and this committee exists to help ensure those standards are met.”
Further appointments, including academic and additional sports integrity specialists, are expected in the coming months.
Digitain appoints Dario Jurčić as CCO
Digitain has appointed Dario Jurčić as Chief Commercial Offi cer for Europe and Africa as it continues to expand across regulated markets. Jurčić brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience spanning commercial strategy, platform development, business transformation and international expansion.
He will lead Digitain’s commercial strategy across Europe and Africa, overseeing operations from the company’s hubs in Malta, Romania and the UK, while supporting further expansion into Central Europe.
Jurčić said: “Digitain has built a strong foundation across regulated markets and I look forward to strengthening its commercial presence throughout Europe while supporting continued growth in Africa.” Ani Mkrtchyan, Chief Sales Offi cer at Digitain, said Jurčić’s commercial leadership and experience of regulated markets would support the company’s next stage of international growth and strengthen relationships with operator partners.
FeedConstruct renews Ukrainian football rights
FeedConstruct has extended its exclusive partnership with the Ukrainian Premier League, retaining worldwide streaming and data rights across the country’s domestic football competitions.
The renewed agreement covers all Ukrainian Premier League matches, together with the Cup of Ukraine, First League,
Second League and Youth Championship, ensuring uninterrupted coverage throughout the 2026/27 season.
FeedConstruct CEO Narek Harutyunyan said the extension refl ected the long-term relationship between the organisations and guaranteed continuity for sportsbook partners worldwide.
