CMS SYSTEMS
Open architecture, intelligent integration, and player-centric innovation define the future of casino management systems

T
he casino management system (CMS) continues to entrench itself as the industry’s most valuable strategic asset. Traditionally viewed as an accounting and reporting platform, the modern CMS has evolved into the operational intelligence layer that connects every aspect of the casino ecosystem. As operators seek to maximise efficiency, enhance player engagement and adapt more quickly to changing market conditions, the future will belong to platforms that are open, intelligent, and capable of integrating seamlessly with both existing and emerging technologies.
For DR Gaming Technology (DRGT™), flexibility is the foundation of that future.
Built on a modular, open architecture and powered by the Company’s proprietary drSMIB mesh-network technology, DRGT’s CMS has been designed to evolve alongside its customers’ businesses. Rather than locking operators into proprietary ecosystems, it enables them to integrate the third-party technologies that best suit their operational and commercial objectives while protecting their long-term technology investment. “The casino floor is becoming an increasingly interconnected environment,” says DRGT™ Chief Executive Officer, Marco Herrera. “Operators need technology that evolves alongside their business, not systems that limit innovation. Open architecture gives them the freedom to adopt new technologies as the market evolves, without having to replace the platform that underpins their operation.”

That philosophy extends beyond technology architecture. One of DRGT’s greatest advantages is its ability to validate innovation within its own (sister) Infiniti Casino operations before bringing new solutions to market. Today, the Infiniti portfolio spans Mexico (Polanco, Acapulco and Tlalnepantla), Belgium (Oostende and Dinant) and France (Grasse and, as of July this year: Berck-sur-Mer). The Company’s ability to develop, test and refine new functionality under genuine operating conditions, ensures solutions are proven by both operational performance and player behaviour before being deployed globally.
The result is a continuously evolving ecosystem that connects players, staff, and operations. DRGT’s drPlayerApp supports regulated cashless gaming while delivering personalised loyalty and marketing communications, whilst the drManagementApp gives operators real-time visibility of their gaming floor through a secure mobile interface. Together, demonstrating CMS’ extension beyond reporting, to a central operational decision-making and player engagement hub.
This integrated approach is equally evident in the Company’s system-driven jackpots. Rather than functioning as standalone, symbol-triggered products, jackpots are now configurable tools within the CMS itself. Operators can tailor qualification criteria, prize structures, promotional mechanics and campaign objectives to specific customer segments, allowing jackpots to work alongside loyalty programmes and marketing initiatives as part of a broader player engagement strategy.
Looking ahead, DRGT™ believes the next major evolution of the CMS will be driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and even deeper integration with third-party technologies. AI has the potential to move beyond reporting to become a genuine operational decision-support tool, continuously analysing game performance, evaluating the lifetime value of individual machines,
Rather than waiting for historical reports, operators will increasingly be able to make informed decisions in real time, improving both operational efficiencies, and the player experience. However, Herrera believes technology will always complement, not replace, human expertise. “Artificial intelligence will undoubtedly become one of the industry’s most valuable operational tools,” he says. “But its effectiveness will always depend on asking the right questions. AI can analyse vast amounts of information and identify opportunities, but it still takes experienced people who understand their operation, their players, and their commercial objectives to turn those insights into successful business decisions.” As the industry continues to evolve, DRGT™ believes the competitive advantage will increasingly lie with operators that embrace open, integrated platforms capable of adapting as quickly as player expectations and technology itself. The CMS is no longer simply managing the casino; it is becoming the intelligence that shapes it.
Visitors to G2E Las Vegas 2026 can experience this next generation casino management technology first-hand at Booth 4405, where DRGT™ will showcase its latest innovations at The Venetian Expo & Convention Centre, from 29 September to 1 October 2026.
