ICE 2020 GAME PAYMENT TECHNOLOGY
Game Payment Technology (GPT), the UK-developed cashless payments app, launched its international marketing campaign with a successful debut appearance at ICE London. The result of a joint venture between bacta and Polar Moment, GPT’s appearance at ICE London resulted in positive interest from gaming organisations based in Spain, United States, France and Holland as well as a meeting with representatives from the DCMS, which was described by bacta’s Robert Gibb as being ‘both productive and encouraging.’ Expanding on GPT’s ICE London experience, Gibb stated:
“It’s been a key part of the business plan to explore opportunities to introduce the app to businesses operating outside of the UK and in the process seek to develop additional revenue streams to support bacta and its members. In that respect ICE London, which attracts over 100 nationalities, is the perfect platform. “We met with representatives from several countries and our
entire time was spent demonstrating how the app works and explaining how it has been built around a commitment to social responsibility. There’s no doubt that ICE delivers a new audience and is about making contacts for the future. From the feedback we received it’s clear that GPT provides solutions that cut across cultures and jurisdictions. It was also very valuable to be able to spend some time with representatives from the DCMS and keep them updated on the project and the significant progress that has been made. We are very grateful to the team at Reflex for allowing us to share their stand space and extremely happy to start the year with successful appearances first at EAG and then ICE London.”
ADVANTECH INNOCORE
Advantech, the global leader in industrial embedded PC’s and its gaming division Advantech-Innocore showcased the latest gaming products at this year’s ICE in London. In the range of all-in-one gaming motherboards the AMD Ryzen embedded V1000 based DPX-S450 enjoyed a huge interest, offering four display outputs, a wide range of inputs and outputs and GLI11-compliant security features. For sports betting applications the DPX-E265 and DPX-E270 (latest generation Intel) motherboards were on display, featuring GLI33 compliant functionality in a cost-effective design. And of course we also showed the latest additions to our range of standard format industrial boards such as Mini-ITX and COM Express. In the new range of gaming touch displays – flat and curved, with or without LED light and in sizes up to 65” – the narrow border versions also generated a lot of interest. Koen Stomph, head of sales for the gaming industry commented: “ICE 2020 was with no doubt the most successful in our long history. All available meeting slots were booked and we were delighted to once again show our wide range of quality products for the industry. Our one-stop shop approach from small flash modules up to heavy duty computing systems and large size displays has clearly been recognized and appreciated by gaming OEM’s. ICE 2020 was a great show for ABBIATI CASINO EQUIPMENT. The show was a memorable success especially due to the huge number of new products showcased, which caught the attention of existing and new clients. Abbiati displaying its latest range of tables: the Led Petal Table,
for example, which is one of a kind and something that should be seen in person to appreciate its uniqueness, with the table base resembling the petals of a flower. Visitors to the company booth had the opportunity to admire the
updated version of Illumina gaming tables, on AR in this case, together with a new Progressive System both products on partnership with BHS – BÖHM and continues to push in EMEA also the Sic-Bo game represented in full Asian Style; this table was impressive for its elegance and high quality. One of the main products on which Abbiati still focused great
attention is casino currency: its chips and plaques incorporate innovative security technologies to prevent counterfeiting. The company’s research in new materials and solutions lead to the success of its new “Holo – Prismatic” Chips. The company expressed its satisfaction with the event
organisation: “Clarion Events reinforced the involvement of all the attendees and exhibitors increasing the success of the show,” claimed Mr. Giorgio Abbiati, CEO of the company. “Here, supply and demand can easily meet each other creating a useful net of contacts”.
