SHOW REVIEW
E-GAMING “ICE 2020 was, for e-gaming, one of the best editions since the company’s first participation at the biggest and most important European gaming event. The number of visitors was far above expectations considering the political climate in many countries at the moment regarding our industry. We were happy to welcome both existing and many new potential
customers and business partners from various countries and continents. This year we have seen a considerable number of Latin American
customers, a region where our business is constantly growing and – most importantly – potential new partners for interesting jurisdictions which could be added to the many jurisdictions where e-gaming already has a significant footprint. We were presented new challenging projects and we are looking
forward to commencing business in those countries. It certainly takes a while to pave a good road to success in another continent but after six years we have already created a good name for e-gaming in Latino America, and all the efforts made in those years are paying off. We have closed important deals for delivery of online game
content for Latino American casinos at this year’s show and others are almost finalised; and we have also noted great interest in e-gaming products coming from northern European visitors and other European jurisdictions for land-based and online content. At this year’s show we presented the new e-flat cabinet, which caught the attention of many visitors. The cabinet is available for mass production at the end of this year in two versions – upright and sit-down – and can be configured with two or three 27” monitors with LED strips around all monitors; this will be followed by a version with 32” monitors. Our former highly successful cabinet e-neon was also shown during the event and still has a lot of buyers. Besides the cabinets we presented significant number of new land-based games and online game content for all markets, and our software team is working towards many releases of exciting new games.”
INSPIRED
Brooks Pierce, President and COO, said: “Inspired’s product portfolio has become essential for customers, and our booth was busier at this ICE than ever before. Customers raved about our hardware and their expanded gaming content, which echoed my mantra to our design teams: “Make Great Games.” We also reinforced our Virtual Sports leadership position by launching V-Play Soccer 3, and showcased the extensive Gaming and Virtuals content that is driving our successful Interactive business. The benefits of the NTG acquisition that multiplied our talent,
resources, game design, hardware and technology were all on display at ICE. We showed customers how well this expanded company is working together, and highlighted the product and branding strategies that are resonating with our customers – Inspired, Astra and Bell Fruit gaming content configured on a wider range of hardware, and across all our product lines. I mentioned V-Play Soccer’s launch. This product sets a new
standard with ultra-realistic graphics and animations, player models, stadium environments and dynamic camera angles. But it’s also the first Virtual Soccer game to provide an option to pick women’s teams, and the first Virtual Soccer product to feature markets for individual scorers in the match. With the proven success of our Virtual Sports, we are seeing
huge demand for a complete end-to-end online virtual sportsbook product that allows operators to offer Inspired’s award-winning scheduled Virtuals without spending a lot of time and money on

integration. Our V-Play Plug & Play solution is just that: simple and quick to install, with no sportsbook integration needed. As providers of sports betting technology and platforms
realize how much Inspired’s Virtuals can complement their products, we are growing our global reach through distribution with companies like SIS, Novomatic, Intralot, and Vermantia. You’ll be seeing more new and expanded distribution deals with other major players ahead.”
TRANSACT
TransAct’s Rob Denham was effusive in his praise for ICE, saying it was a “…fantastic show, I think numbers are definitely up over last year. It’s been fabulous, honestly – everyone has been positive, the atmosphere is great. All the products have been received well, we’re very happy with the event.” Working for TransAct, there is plenty of product for Rob to
enthuse about as he told Casino International about the standout performers on their booth. He said: “People have been looking at the Epic 880 roll-feed printer, which is ideal for sports betting terminals; we’ve also had a chance to show people the results of years of continuous improvements in hardware and firmware, and people are very encouraged by our progress. We have also been showing the Epic 950, which is our core casino product, and the Epic Edge, which we believe is the most advanced printer in gaming. It has new features, plus high dpi, SD card downloads and more, with a perfect ticket every time and burst technology. “We’re also showing BOHA! (Back-of-House Automation), not
a casino product as such but it helps restaurants with safety and stock management, which of course applies to many resorts and casinos with dining. “Finally, we also have EpiCentral v4, the latest iteration of
our promotional marketing suite; this version is web-based so it can run on any PC or device.”
APEX GAMING
APEX gaming released the brand-new CLOVER-LINK- EXTREME and EVO4 Platform as well as the newest PINNACLE BLACK SERIES 32” EGM with the Clover-Lounge Chair at ICE. The Clover Link Jackpot islands continue to enjoy popularity worldwide with the exquisite blend of player excitement which the games offer and the unique APEX design of these islands. Customers have an amazing choice: the BIG ISLAND, the ROUND EDITION, the WALL EDITION and now the SLIM EDITION with four-sided display. Naturally, the APEX PLAYER STATION (APS) electronic
roulette was on display. The fact that this solution is expandable and so can be linked to up to four roulette wheels (both live or electronic) gives operators more flexibility. APEX EVO games can also be played on it (meaning that a player who wishes to play a slot game in between does not have to leave his or her seat). This provides for optimal player comfort. Of course, we can also connect our APEX EGM’s with the latest EVO platform to our APS solution, so that players can enjoy roulette games on Slots! Kubilay Özer, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at APEX gaming, was again very pleased from the feedback given during the three days at the show stating: “We have again made a real difference in what we do – CLOVER LINK is in huge demand. Now there is even more reason to choose CLOVER LINK, as this unique jackpot solution is now available as an Extreme Version. There are total of seven great games to choose from – clearly CLOVER LINK being the real hit.”
