SBC SUMMIT INTERVIEW Bragg Gaming Group at SBC
Global Sales Director at Bragg Gaming Group Matej Filipančič shares insight on their operations and plans for the near future.
GIO: Matej, it’s great to see you at SBC Lisbon. What are you bringing to the conversation this year? Matej Filipančič: Great to be here. The through-line for us this year is proprietary content depth, a real roster of in-house studios like WildStreak Gaming, Atomic Slot Lab and IndigoMagic, plus the studios that came in through the Drayton acquisition. But it’s not just about how many games we make, it’s about building games that last, and investing in the platform behind every release. That’s really what I’m here to talk about.
GIO: The Drayton acquisition has been a fantastic addition, why does it make sense for bragg? MF: It brings five established studios into our proprietary roster, names like Boomerang and HITSqwad, each keeping its own identity in-market. For us it’s evidence of scale and specialism: we’re not just acquiring names, we’re building genuine content breadth.
GIO: Everyone talks about big launches, what actually keeps a game performing? MF: The games that last aren’t the ones with the biggest launch, they’re the ones players keep coming back to. Almighty Pegasus, our award- winning Connect & Collect title from Atomic Slot Lab, was named Most Innovative Online Game at the 8th Annual EKG Slot Awards, and it’s still performing long after launch. Thunder Blitz does it a different way, a proven three-reel hold-and-win that keeps players in the game. That’s the craft: not chasing the first spin, but earning the next one..
GIO: Beyond the games themselves, where are you investing? MF: New titles are one part of the story. We’re also investing in the game client, framework and bonusing capabilities that sit behind every release. That means things like new Turbo and Super Turbo spin modes, hold-to-spin built for mobile, faster win presentation, enhanced
resolution and graphics with quicker asset loading across devices. It’s the basics done properly, at scale.
GIO: Last question for today. We hear a lot of fuss about the bragg’s AI. Can you tell us more about it? MF: You’ll have to let me keep some of it a surprise! What I’ll say is that our approach is about AI that lives inside the product, not
bolted on beside it. Two areas we’re really excited about: using predictive intelligence to help operators keep players engaged before they drift away, rather than reacting after the fact, and an AI-driven lobby that curates the right games for each individual player, in real time. It’s about making the whole experience smarter and more personal. There’s a lot more to come, and we’ll have proper detail to share soon.
