SBC SUMMIT INTERVIEW Continent 8 technologies at SBC

in all of our production operations? Our test and development shops, as well as ensuring that we do not lose focus on security, compliance and the audibility that this platform brings.

In terms of proof points, knowing where your data is and ensuring that it is compliant with the regulations is important. There is a significant focus on cost containment and cost mitigation.

Continent 8 were displaying their new agentic AI Future 8 at SBC and we spoke to their CEO, Mike Small to find out what this all means for the future of the industry.

GIO: What is Future8, who created it and why?

Mike Small: Future 8 is a joint collaboration between Continent 8 Technologies, our leader position in trusted regulated gaming, and Future Path, a leader in Silicon Valley innovation native AI.

We’ve combined both forces to create an artificial intelligence agentic platform focused on regulated markets. It’s created simply to help clients realise the speed to value, going from production- ready-grade AI, as opposed to proof-of-concept testing. We have accelerated the path of innovation, and we now are enterprise-grade AI in production in multiple jurisdictions around the world.

GIO: Why is now the right time for the industry to move from AI experimentation to production deployment? MS: The speed of the adoption of agentic technology changes by the minute and hour, based on the models and the cost of AI agentic deployments. We see this as a massive opportunity to help clients innovate together. We’re hearing this need from our clients, and we’re responding. We know the time is now.

GIO: What are operators telling you are their AI priorities and challenges? MS: First and foremost, how do we embed AI

32 NOVEMBER 2026 GIO

GIO: Which areas of an operator’s business stand to benefit most from AI in the near term? MS: So, what we are seeing on average is that we are able to help operators drive

down their cost of IT operations by 25 to 35%, and DevOps operations by more than 30%. These are significant savings that clients are seeing and realising in production-ready environments, allowing them to reprioritise and take those savings and invest in other areas of their core business.

GIO: How can operators balance innovation with regulatory and compliance requirements? MS: Speaking very, very regularly with the regulators, what they are telling us is that audibility and actually understanding clearly where your data is, what agents have interaction with the dataset, what agents are
