A successful family-run business for over 30 years, Marks Electrical has become a nationally recognised independent retailer with its 200,000sq ft headquarters store just outside Leicester city centre. This is home to over 5,000 kitchen


appliances with exhibition stands dedicated to a huge variety of manufacturers. The retailer has its own fleet of delivery


vans and it operates a nationwide service. “We are one of the few remaining retailers to offer two-hour timeslots and next-day free delivery, even at weekends,” it says.


Not only this, but Marks Electrical has


a fully responsive e-commerce website, responsible for a large amount of the business’s turnover. Also online, the retailer makes full use of


all the major marketing channels, such as PPC, affiliates and remarketing, plus it has a strong presence on YouTube. The team regularly films review videos, adverts and on- location content using its own studio and photographers. The company’s successful YouTube channel, which has more than 6,000 subscribers, has proven to be very popular – it’s videos have collectively been viewed over 7.5 million times.

be as environmentally-friendly as possible, which is why it has its own in-house recycling plant to deal with any packaging brought back from product deliveries. The ERT Awards judges were


impressed with the success of Marks Electrical both online and in-store in recent years, and how it strives to be a leading appliances retailer in both areas. “We are delighted to win this


prestigious award, it is always a great feeling to receive recognition within the

industry,” James Fielding, Marketing Manager at Marks Electrical, told ERT. “We work very hard to make our


business the best it can be and hopefully that shines through in everything we do, plus our great service and not forgetting our commitment to super-fast delivery seven days a week!” Mr Fielding spoke about the


importance of motivating companies to improve in all areas, adding: “We must all continue to provide the best service possible to our customers.”
