Andy says: "My background was in


accounting and fi nance, spending many years with one of the large banks before joining the family business as fi nancial director. I decided to look at a different career path and embrace a new challenge and so began looking at small business opportunities and at franchising as a possibility. It soon became apparent that franchising is a much safer option when starting your own business as it’s a tried-and-tested model. What drew me to NIC was the knowledge and experience of the team. I could see that it wasn’t just a ‘cleaning company’ and that the professionalism of the staff and the services offered was excellent and with an industry worth over 8.8billion within the UK, I knew that I would be able to build and grow a successful business. As someone completely new to the

Although there is a lot of hard work involved in running your own business, I have a greater degree of fl exibility.
