1969 to now Mary Brown’s launched in the Canadian province of Newfoundland & Labrador in 1969. Today, the brand is truly iconic in that market, while gaining momentum at a remarkable rate across the rest of Canada. It’s an exciting time for one of Canada’s fastest-growing franchises. The shift began in 2007 when the


brand was acquired by Newfoundland entrepreneur Gregory Roberts. The rest, as they say, is history. Gregory brought the brand to the highest global standards and, with it, expansion from 67 to 170-plus stores across Canada in just over a decade. The goal is to reach 200 stores in Canada this year, and having built the proper support, training and marketing foundation, the brand has begun its expansion into international markets.

Core menu items are all made in-store – Signature Chicken, Taters and coleslaw are all hand-cut and made fresh daily. All menu items are made in small batches to ensure optimal freshness. Mary Brown’s core menu includes bone-in Signature Chicken, Taters, Big Mary Chicken Sandwich and Chicken Pop-Ins. More recently, Mary Brown’s has added zesty options reflecting changing


taste profiles and demographics, including Thai Chicken Pop-Ins, Buffalo Mary Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Chicken. Mary Brown’s chicken and potatoes


are locally sourced. The ingredients are delivered fresh and whole to every store where they are hand prepared and cooked in exclusive cookers employing proprietary technology.
