A Home improvement

Access4Lofts A

lmost every home in the UK has a reason for loft access and enhanced storage space: new homes with little

or no storage space, people who downsize to a smaller property or the growing number of home workers who need additional storage space for their offi ce. Access4Lofts supplies and installs loft ladders, hatches, loft boarding and lighting, providing domestic loft storage solutions in an easy and affordable way. Since launching the franchise opportunity

in February 2018 at the National Franchise Exhibition, held at the NEC in Birmingham, Access4Lofts has quickly become the biggest and fastest-growing loft ladder franchise in the country. “We had targeted 10 franchisees by February 2019, however, we will have 15 franchisees across 17 territories after our next training course in January. An additional training course has been added in March to cope with the demand,” explains co-owner Lindsay Brown, who runs the training from Access4Lofts’ training facility in Dudley. Along with current franchisees making a

huge success of their businesses, several more potential franchisees are going through the pre-qualifi cation process. Lindsay explains that not everyone is accepted as an Access4Lofts franchisee: “We carry out a very

bfa status: Associate

stringent process in order to ensure the people joining the franchise are ‘Access4Lofts people’. “We need to protect the brand for existing

franchisees and ensure that the people joining us also share our values of integrity and customer focus.” In addition to growing the network, bfa

Associate Member Access4Lofts is also seeing its existing franchisees investing in neighbouring territories. CEO Graham Ormesher explains: “It’s fantastic to see existing franchisees wanting to expand. They can really see the potential in this business and the fact they are purchasing additional territories speaks volumes about the support we give our franchisees.” You’d be forgiven for thinking that the type

of person who invests in an Access4Lofts franchise comes from a carpentry or joinery background but this couldn’t be further from the truth! “Only two of our franchisees come from a ‘trades’ background. The remainder are all white-collar workers who wanted to make a positive change in their lives by leaving the rat race and running their own business, giving them the freedom to manage their own time,” says Graham. “The Access4Lofts franchise enables them to work for themselves but still be part of a team.”
