What’s hot
Cricket tots C
ricket tots believes in the power of sport to improve all areas of someone's life, no
matter what their age is! And that's just one of the reasons for the launch of the fun, educational cricket classes for two- and-a-half to five-year-old boys and girls and why the brand is so pleased to see so many successful franchises promoting children’s sports.
Getting started To become a franchisee, it isn’t important how much experience you have or what your professional background is. Cricket tots is looking for people who share its passion for what it does! You must love working with children and have the determination to succeed and enthusiasm to run your own business with a network of support. From day one you'll receive comprehensive training and a dedicated account manager to help you every step of the way. Cricket tots encourages regular contact to help you set your goals, review your progress and strategies, and to provide a general network of help.
Budget-friendly With a minimum investment of £5,000- £7,500 (plus vat), the amount you earn depends on how many classes you want to run. With five terms in one year and eight weeks per term there is an opportunity to scale up your business to handle more classes as your popularity increases. There are also additional channels of revenue for you to tap into such as running cricket parties, summer sessions and classes for nurseries.
Great coaches A successful Cricket tots group needs everyone involved to be firmly committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for children to explore the game. Key to this is finding the right coach. You may well be the owner and coach of your franchise, and whilst
experience in cricket is not a requirement, an enthusiasm to learn is! At Cricket tots, all of our lead coaches are qualified by the England and Wales Cricket Board (
www.ecb.co.uk). As our classes are for children from five years of age and under, the training that coaches receive as part of this qualification helps them understand the best way to teach the sport, whilst having lots of fun too!
Location, location, location Territories are exclusive, which enables you to service every customer in your area without competition. Moreover, there are options to expand and incorporate more locations as you grow! All equipment is easily transportable and finding inexpensive places to hold classes is straightforward – such as community halls, school halls, town halls, gyms, conference centres, studios and more, plus outdoors when the weather permits! And if a location isn’t working out it’s easy to change venues for the following term.
Operating systems Keeping on top of the admin is easy. The Class for Kids booking platform does all of the heavy lifting. It’s GDPR compliant, gives you your own unique listing and has a range of bespoke features including discounts and trial date options. Using this system means a reduction on admin and more time spent running classes.
Full compliance support
As with all children’s clubs and groups, there are regulations and compliance checks. All involved must pass a DBS criminal records check – an absolute requirement for working with children. A registered first- aider also has to be on site, which keeps little ones safe and provides reassurance for parents! Lastly, it is commonplace for everyone involved to have attended a safeguarding and protecting children course or workshop, to help them deal with safeguarding issues.
Supportive networks Having been awarded gold accreditation by the Children’s Activities Association (the first not-for-profit, industry-led organisation which aims to raise standards in all organised children’s activities across the UK), this approval gives parents the peace of mind they need when picking Cricket tots as their little one’s activity. Cricket tots is proud to be a member of ukactive Kids and share its philosophy to get more children, more active, more often! A mission Cricket tots wants all of its franchisees to be passionate about. Launching and running your own franchise
may seem daunting, especially in the early days, but classes and clubs are a much-loved part of most children’s growing up – something you have the opportunity to contribute to. So, join Cricket tots and help children everywhere start the innings of a lifetime.
