Unrivalled support For Nick White, owner of the Skipton gym, Jetts was his first move into the fitness and franchise industries. With almost 40 years working in the automotive sector, Nick decided to combine his passion for business and health and fitness to launch Jetts Skipton with his son Josh. “We researched a number of gym

focus of everything Jetts does as the brand continues to expand globally. In the UK, Jetts also leads with its ‘Train in Quality’ tagline from which members across the country are reaping the benefits. No overcrowding through capped memberships means that gym goers can maximise their time on the quality equipment and, unique to the UK, Jetts’ 30-minute class programme j30 capitalises on the popularity of small group training, combining a boutique fitness concept with the benefits of a 24-hour gym to further enhance its offering to members. “We find the no-contract offering in particular a huge selling point for our members, and certainly not something we see as a challenge from a business owner’s perspective,” says Nick. “If you continue to provide excellent value and a quality experience within which your members can better themselves, as Jetts does, then they have no reason to leave, and the financial success has exceeded our expectations.”
From strength to strength Jetts UK has enjoyed rapid growth since launching in 2017, with no sign of slowing down. Its gyms are making their mark on the
UK and proving the model works; Skipton made more membership sales in its first 24 hours than any other Jetts club worldwide at the time, followed by similar accolades at Jetts Accrington, which opened in September 2018, 210 per cent above its pre-launch membership target. It’s this success that sees many business
owners not just stopping at one gym; globally, many own multiple Jetts gyms, supported by the organisation’s integrated operating systems and marketing strategy that creates the opportunity to grow beyond the first site. A Jetts owner is also only required to spend approximately 10-15 hours a week on the business, so an owner can keep their day job if they choose to. “We want the best people heading up
our gyms and our franchisees are chosen based on a wide range of criteria, so you know that you are joining a group of like- minded, driven individuals that are as passionate about the brand and its values as we are,” says James. “It is our vested interest in the member, combined with a focus on the franchisor and business owner working together in partnership to both benefit, that really sets Jetts apart.” n
