VAN BASED FEATURE

DREAM CLEAN OVENS

Nick Lambert established Dream Clean Ovens in 2016 with wife Sue. The oven- cleaning company is now off ering a van-based investment opportunity with territories available nationwide.

Tell us a little about Dream Clean Ovens and your franchise expansion plans...

My wife, Sue, and I started Dream Clean in 2016 when we saw a gap in the market to off er eco-friendly and innovative cleaning solutions. After we set up, custom really took off . We went from a local service with a loyal following to a thriving business serving a customer base across three counties. Off ering our successful, tried-and- tested business model to others was the next logical step.

What will a typical day for a franchisee be like? It’s hard to say, because for us, no two days are the same! Some time will be spent checking emails for bookings as well as spending time on promoting the service locally and, of course, actually cleaning the ovens, leaving behind very happy customers!

What training and support do you provide initially and ongoing? New franchisees will come out with us on the road initially to gain real-world, hands-on experience and to develop

the know-how to carry out the day-to- day service. A turnkey package means that, with a generous 100,000-household- strong territory, a laptop and a three- month starter pack, franchisees are able to be up and running almost straight away. As franchise directors, we are always on hand to give advice and share expertise with our network.

What’s so rewarding about running this franchise as a van-based operation? A van-operated business aff ords the franchisee freedom, as well as control over his or her local market. As long as they work hard and get to know their territory, their working day is more or less their own. Many van-operating franchisees report that their work-life balance dramatically improves and that they’re able to spend more time with their family once they have their business up and running.

What are the benefi ts of investing in and operating a franchise with Dream Clean Ovens?

In terms of our service, the customer reviews speak for themselves. The eco-

friendly solutions really make us stand out. Our customers love the fact that there are no smells or fumes hanging around; in fact, they can use their ovens straight away. Our rates are attractively competitive,

but it’s the fantastic service and satisfi ed customers that truly give Dream Clean Ovens the edge, and a gleaming reputation that franchisees will benefi t from.

What are you looking for in a franchisee? Do they need previous experience in cleaning services? As long as they have a few essential traits – such as hard work, commitment and determination and an affi nity with working with the public, oh, and a driving licence! – they can be from virtually any background. No specifi c experience is necessary… they may even have spent their career so far in a desk-bound role (in fact, van-based franchises often appeal to those seeking a change in life and to achieve some autonomy over their working life). We will train Dream Clean franchisees in our much-loved system and methods, and so we welcome enquiries from all walks of life.
