CA4LA Berets and beanies
CA4LA had a wide range of small hats, caps, berets and beanies on display, the best-selling model of which was a wool fabric beret with a multi-coloured pompom. Complit also showed a collection of smaller sized hats at Tranoï. A real novelty was their hand-painted hats and berets. Kopka introduced a new wool beanie with a coloured tip to their collection of knitted basics. It took some time to develop the new model but the tips can now be made in any possible colour combination.
Light-coloured felts
This was Wyeth’s first time at Tranoï. Thus far popular in the US, they decided it was time to test the European market. Their collection is unisex, but mostly worn by women. Their strongest designs at the moment are hats with flat, stiff brims. At Première Classe, Ferruccio Vecchi presented their standard collection and at Tranoï their
younger designs, such as an off-white wide-brimmed hat with multi-coloured studs. House of Lafayette’s collection was inspired by the French movie Dites-lui que je l’aime.
