London Hat Week 2019
4-10 April 2019
Now in its fifth year, London Hat Week (LHW) has firmly established itself on the millinery calendar. This April, hundreds of milliners and hat lovers from across the globe travelled to London to take part in the week-long event to celebrate millinery creativity and craftsmanship. The LHW19 Schedule included more than 60 different millinery workshops and classes, three hat exhibitions and more social events than ever before.

The LHW Headliners, a series of short talks and millinery demonstrations from industry experts, proved to be one of the most popular new additions to the LHW Schedule this year, especially as they were conveniently held in the same venue as the LHW Supplier Fair near London Bridge.
London Hat Week continues to go from strength to strength each year and this is especially true of the London Hat Walk. Having started with just seven people in 2014, the 2019 event attracted over 200 hat wearing walkers. "LHW continues to gain momentum and we are humbled and thrilled by the number of hat lovers from around the world who come and take part," say organisers Georgina Abbott of Atelier Millinery and Becky Weaver of HATalk. "Each year we try to build on what has worked well in the past and to introduce new and exciting events to the LHW Schedule. We're already busy thinking ahead to 2020 and will be announcing next year's dates in the near
future." For more information and to hear when

The Launch Party, which took place at St Cyprian's Church in Marylebone, was sold out well in advance with almost 300 people in attendance. A first for LHW, the evening included a spectacular catwalk show with models wearing hats by high profile London-based milliners like Philip Treacy and Stephen Jones as well as the work of the talented LHW Masterclass tutors.
The two-day Supplier Fair was one of the most popular LHW19 events, with around 1000 people coming to buy hat making products from established millinery suppliers including Guy Morse-Brown Hat Blocks, Parkin Fabrics, Lily M Millinery Supplies, the Trimming Company, Plooij Hats & Materials, and Petershams Millinery Supplies.
