Twice yearly in Porte de Versailles, Première Classe presents new collections from large manufacturers of well-known brands, and small niche labels.

Many suppliers offered more sustainable solutions such as fake fur and fake leather, as their customers are specifically asking. They reported a noticeable growing interest in the origin of products: where and how it was made and what impact did the production of each item have on the environment.


Smaller models of hats continue to be popular. So there were many bonnets, bucket hats and caps to be seen. The out-and-out favourite for next season is the beret. As a counterpart to all the smaller models of headwear, felt hats with a broad brim seem to be gently making a comeback in the women’s collections. Animal prints are back in vogue too, leopard spots in particular. Soft and cuddly materials did well, not to mention the many pompoms in all shapes and sizes. Cuddly motifs also appeared in a miscellany of prints and shapes; for next season were many models and prints on display which no doubt will do well for Valentine’s Day.
