Showrooms
Other companies presenting collections in their own showrooms in Düsseldorf:
The showroom of Michael Göttmann
An 8-piece cap with matching bow tie & pocket handkerchief from Göttmann caps & hats
Michael Göttmann shows separately in the Fashion House 2, usually in room 109. The company’s expertise is in making men’s caps, which they extended last season to include bow ties and pocket handkerchiefs. For next summer linen was definitely a favourite fabric with checks, in patchwork and stripes.
Mayser is Germany’s largest hat company. They also show from this fashion house in a permanent showroom in room 107. The company always push forward on design for both the men’s and women’s collections. This season gingham featured high in the trend section for the ladies, and in the men’s easy-wear range was a raffia hat with a hand- painted stripe
From a small range of gingham hats, trilby with pretty rose printed lace trim from Mayser
Stitched raffia upturned trilby with hand- painted stripe
Wegener also has its own permanent showroom at Double-U (on the courtesy bus route), so they can offer a 10-day window each season for buyers. The company work very close with the Russian market, and so offer a Russian speaker in their showroom. Next season it was stripes, foldable and crushable trilbys and a return of the western hat
Seeberger also present their collection from their showroom in the Plaza (located on the shuttle bus route). However, we visit them in Berlin and at Pure, London.
