Carole Denford’s News The brands at Première Classe in September said farewell I

t was good to see the many exhibitors who made it to the Ecua-Andino stand to say a fond

farewell to Nigel and myself. On behalf of us both, we would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Sylvie Pourrat, Director of Première Classe, who has been so supportive over the years, not only to us and our Hat Designer of the Year competitions, but also to the whole headwear industry. Although at the last minute she was unable to make it to the stand, she sent across a dozen bottles of champagne for a great send off. Thank you Sylvie and all your team!

And for the future – with the help of Alice we have set up a website: www.DenfordPublishing.com to sell our hat patterns and back issues of The Hat Magazine, and to publish books on headwear and hatmaking. Carole has started a freelance consultancy for the hat trade at: www.Carole-The-Hat.com and you can follow her on instagram: @carole_the_hat

As many as could leave their stands for the group shot! Nigel wears cap from Stetson Europe and Carole wears a small sinamay beret with floral trim from Elly Stemerdink
