64 WEB OF CONTROL

DHD Audio BY KEVIN EMMOTT

The Routing Web App from DHD is making its debut, helping to make the process of assigning and managing incoming sources and output ports fully transparent and easy to view and control. The HTML5 application runs on the web server within the processing core and is compatible with DHD’s standard XC3, high- capacity XD3 and XS3 DHD IP cores, and all DHD mixers running version 10.4 fi rmware. It allows authorised operators or technicians to securely access and control the core’s entire input/output channel confi guration locally or remotely. Crosspoint matrices can be created and displayed graphically or as an I/O list, and they can

be stored as presets for quick selection and recall. The Routing Web App expands the number of DHD Web Apps to six. The range currently comprises the Assist App, Labels App, Snapshot App, System App and Views App.

Christoph Gottert, International Sales Manager, DHD, said: “The DHD Routing Web App makes the entire process of assigning and managing incoming sources and output ports fully transparent easy to view and control.” The app appears at IBC alongside examples from DHD’s range of broadcast audio consoles and IP audio cores, plus the RM1 all-in-one audio interface, a complete audio production system in a compact and lightweight desktop unit. 8.B46

RAYFLEX 120 MERITS GREATER REFLECTION

Bounced light: RayFlex 120 in use by Heliograf in Poland

EverSirius BY DAVID FOX

For lighting large sets, the RayFlex 120 refl ector system from EverSirius upgrades what is possible with bounced light, as it delivers 44% more refl ective area than traditional 100cm boards, without the bulk or complexity of softboxes and large diffusion frames. One of its fi rst outings was on

a recent high-end commercial shoot by Polish rental house Heliograf, where the RayFlex 120 was used on a challenging green screen car setup. Krzysztof Adamski, Manager, Heliograf, said: “The RayFlex

UPGRADED LUX LOOKS OUT FOR AIR HEADS Pheon Lux BY DAVID FOX

The upgraded range of Air Lux II infl atable LED lights has been expanded. It now includes the large-pixel M88C (an 8x8ft unit), which has a high-power output of 1600W, for high-brightness illumination of large areas. The full-colour (RGBWW) light delivers tuneable white with a CRI and TLCI of 95+. It allows users to select industry-standard gels, adjust hue and saturation, or apply dynamic effects. The latest

120 opens up completely new creative possibilities. You get four distinct refl ective surfaces, each with its own character – different from anything you’d get using a classic mirror or softbox.”

The kit includes two double- sided panels, offering four different bounce textures, from crisp punch to soft wrap, in a compact, rugged form. Its 120x120cm size is optimised for versatility on set, giving DoPs and gaffers more control over large-area bounce light, while remaining lightweight and easy to rig. Pole-operated mounts allow for safe and effi cient angle changes from the ground. 12.D56

Ready to air: Pheon Lux’s Air Lux II range of infl atable lights

Air Lux II models also include a zonal control for creative effects such as colour/fading gradients and pixel mapping. For control

they have regular or wireless DMX (CRMX), with 64 DMX zones, as well as a mobile app. It is powered from a V-mount battery.

The soft light has a beam angle of 210°, colour temperature range of 2700K-10,000K and delivers 6990 lux at 1m (at 6000K). It weighs 13.69kg, making it readily portable. There are a wide range of Air Lux II models, from smaller units, such as the PL-M24C (measuring 2x4ft), which is a 200W full colour infl atable with CRMX and zonal control, to long and skinny options such as the 800W M128C (1x28ft). 12.D65
