PLATFORM WITH A VIEW OFFERS SPEED AND FLEXIBILITY ModernTV

BY KIRSTY HAZLEWOOD

Czech-based provider of IPTV/ OTT technology, ModernTV, is showcasing updates to its “fast- to-deploy, fl exible end-to-end OTT platform designed for a rich and intuitive user experience”. The company says the platform is tailored to meet the evolving needs of telecom operators and TV providers looking to launch streaming services or enhance existing offerings. New for IBC is a redesigned homepage that introduces dynamic strip formats: catalogues are now visually

clearer and easier to navigate, thanks to the use of cards in various sizes that separate content categories more distinctly, avoiding the monotonous look of a uniform grid. This not only

improves overall aesthetics but also enhances usability for both live and on-demand content, including catch-up TV and VoD libraries.

Another enhancement is the

introduction of genre-based collections.

Users can create themed collections with the ModernTV solution These allow users to quickly

browse content by theme, such as drama, comedy, or sports, while also giving them the

freedom to create personalised collections based on their preferences. 1.F31

GO LIVE FROM A PHONE WITH ONE-BUTTON BROADCASTING Jutel Radioman BY KEVIN EMMOTT

Jutel claims the app is ideal for mobile journalism, sports coverage, live interviews and fi eld check-ins.

Finnish media and radio automation specialist Jutel is encouraging IBC visitors to leave their cables at home with the introduction of RadioMan Lamppu. Aiming to make live radio reporting as easy as pressing a button, Lamppu enables journalists to go live on-air straight from a phone.

It works on both iOS and Android devices and allows journalists to instantly join a live broadcast, monitor it in real time and speak when it’s their turn, whether the studio is cloud-based or on-site. And, as part of the RadioMan 6 system, Lamppu is also fully integrated into broadcast workfl ows; multiple reporters can

join the same broadcast from different locations, appearing directly in the On-Air interface with name tags and faders like any other studio source.

In addition, Lamppu’s invite- based access enables users to send a secure, time-limited link to a guest contributor to allow them to join the broadcast from their phone without installing an app, while the administrator stays in control of who is live and when. 8.F79

Lamppu is built for real-world reporting,
