I’m a dental hygienist, but don’t know in which category I should register.


If you’re interested in attending the entire meeting, register as a dental hygienist/full conference. Proof of dental hygienist license/appropriate credentials must be submitted with registration.


How do I register for the Dental Hygiene Symposium?


The Symposium is an additional cost and separate from the Annual Meeting’s dental hygienist registration category. Complete and submit the registration form or register online. Registration for this symposium is available to non-dental hygienists.


I registered in advance of the meeting but have yet to receive my credentials.


All participants regardless of registration date, will need to pick up their credential packets on site. This may be done by utilizing the Express Registration stations or registration counters located in the AAP registration area of the Vancouver Convention Centre. Please bring confirmation and a photo ID to expedite the process.


I registered as a spouse and/or guest; what does that include? Can I participate in the Exhibit Hall lunches?


The spouse and/or guest registration fee includes access to the Corporate Forum and Exhibit Hall. Spouses and/ or guests may purchase meals on site in the Exhibit Hall. Spouses needing to earn CE credit must register in a professional category.


I am a non-member student. May I attend the Student/New Periodontist Member Reception?


Only AAP Student members and new periodontist members (who have graduated within the last two years) are eligible to attend. Attendance is limited.


Who may register in the categories that begin with the designation CAP, JACP, or JSP?


The AAP presents the 104th Annual Meeting in collaboration


with the Canadian Academy of Periodontology (CAP), the Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology (JACP), and the Japanese Society of Periodontology (JSP). Only members of these three organizations may register in their respective categories.

Who may register as a General Assembly Voter Only?


Active and Life Active members who would like to attend the General Assembly Business Session may register in this category at no charge, but will be unable to participate in any other portion of the Annual Meeting and will not receive attendance credit.


What does Corporate Forum registration include?


This registration type allows access to the Corporate Forum on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 only. There is no charge for this category, but participants who select it will be unable to participate in any other portion of the Annual Meeting and will not receive CE credits from the AAP.


* The AAP does not offer CE credit for the Corporate Forum.


How does one register as a Sponsored Non- Member Dentist/Periodontist?


Active members who register for the Annual Meeting will receive a one-time use code on their confirmation. They may provide this code to a colleague dentist or periodontist, who is not currently a member of the AAP. The code would be used during online registration to receive a special registration discount.


What is the VIP Experience listed on the registration form?


This offer allows registrants access to an express registration counter on site, a VIP ribbon, and an exclusive lounge to relax, refresh, and network. The VIP Experience also includes reserved seating at general sessions and an exclusive meet-and-greet with the AAP’s Executive Committee. Full registration is required to select this option, and the cost is US$200 per person.
