Schedule of Events Dear Colleagues:

The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) invites you to gorgeous Vancouver, British Columbia, for its 104th

Annual Meeting. This year’s event—presented in collaboration with the

Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the Japanese Academy of Clinical Periodontology, and the Japanese Society of Periodontology—will be a global exploration of the latest and greatest in periodontal practice, science, and possibilities.

With over 45 courses to choose from (plus 30 new speakers), you can create a personalized continuing education (CE) experience. Choose one of 10 newly redesigned program tracks or mix and match sessions based on your needs. If surgery is among your interests, you won’t want to miss the live-streaming surgery course on Monday, Oct. 29. Also on Oct. 29, we’re excited to present the proceedings from the 2017 World Workshop on the Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions in a 1.5-CE credit course. Learn what the updated disease classifications mean for your patients and day-to-day practice. Other topics on the meeting’s CE program include emerging concepts and innovative therapies; oral pathology, oral medicine, and oral diagnosis; as well as leadership, personal, and practice development.

The conversations don’t have to end when the sessions do. Stop by the all new Speaker Studio (Exhibit Hall booth #533) to meet course presenters for Q&A in a small group setting or a one-on- one chat. While visiting the Exhibit Hall, be sure to check out the AAP Member Resource Center and the products and services of more than 300 exhibit booths.

In an out-of-this-world Opening General Session on Sunday, Oct. 28, Captain Mark Kelly—veteran naval aviator, retired astronaut, and commander of the Space Shuttles Discovery and Endeavour— will share his unique perspective on leadership, teamwork, and success in the face of formidable challenges. This keynote presentation is sure to uplift and inspire.

With a sparkling shoreline and snowcapped mountains that meet its horizon, Vancouver’s breathtaking landscapes provide a beautiful backdrop for this year’s festivities. This cosmopolitan city has a little something for everyone. Whether you have a taste for five-star cuisine, dazzling nightlife, or outdoor adventures, make plans to enjoy the city during your stay.

It’s an exciting time for periodontics, and you won’t want to miss this year’s gathering. Register for the 104th

AAP Annual Meeting today at members.perio.org/am2018.
