The American Academy of Periodontology is an ADA CERP recognized provider.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ADA.org/CERP.

Continuing Education (CE) Information – CE Pavilion

With the exception of Hands-On Workshops and the Dental Hygiene Symposium, participants will be able to log CE credits at the CE Pavilion located in the Exhibit Hall in the front of the 1600 aisle. A link on perio.org will be available for 90 days following the meeting. The AAP does not send CE credit information to state boards or licensing/regulatory agencies. See page 61 for more CE updates.

Meeting attendees are responsible for ensuring that their CE credits are current and on file. For all CE activities, 0.25 credit hours will be awarded for each 15 minutes of activity time, not including breaks, meals, registration periods, or general business. The AAP cautions participants, for each CE session, about the potential risks of using limited knowledge when incorporating new techniques and procedures in their practice.

Crisis Plan

Visit members.perio.org/am2018 or call the AAP at 800-282-4867 for the latest updates and status of the meeting. All attendees must complete the emergency contact information requested on the housing and registration form. In the event of an on-site emergency, please check with your hotel’s front desk personnel for further information and instructions or consult the mobile app.

Dress Code and Temperature

Attendees are encouraged to wear business casual attire. In October, high temperatures in Vancouver average around 13°C/55°F, with lows around 6°C/43°F. Lightweight clothing with a jacket for evenings is recommended.
