PHILADELPHIA CHICAGO


This year Chicago is welcoming new attractions that make the city even more of an art and architecture hub. The recently opened Chicago Architecture Centre is the city’s newest must-see cultural destination, providing an insight into the history of Chicago and how the city has developed into an epicentre of modern architecture. ARIZONA


Arizona is home to a fascinating mix of iconic landmarks and landscapes, including Monument Valley, Sedona, the Sonoran Desert and the Grand Canyon, which celebrates 100 years of national park status in 2019. American Airlines recently announced a new direct flight between London and Phoenix that will launch in March 2019. This, in addition with a daily direct British Airways flight and additional direct flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, makes getting to Arizona from the UK easier than ever. New hotels continue to open throughout the rest of 2018 and into 2019, including Sophy Hyde Park, which is dedicated to art, science and literature. The World Heritage City of Philadelphia has celebrated several new developments for visitors in 2018, including the opening of The Rail Park, an elevated 25,000sqft greenway that sits on top of the former Reading Railroad viaduct, and a $22.5 million transformation of the historic Bourse exchange building into a food marketplace that’s expected to open in late 2018. In early 2019, Philadelphia will also see the opening of luxurious Four


Seasons Philadelphia, which will present 360-degree views of the city from the top of its new 60-floor Comcast Technology Center – the tallest building in the city. In mid-2019, Starwood’s new dual-branded W and Element Hotels property will open and later, in September 2019, the east coast city will welcome Fashion District Philadelphia, providing shoppers with three blocks of retail, dining and entertainment space. ■ Stand: NA340
