PAID CONTENT FOR THE ALPINA GSTAAD
The Alpina Gstaad GSTAAD, SWITZERLAND
Featuring 56 spacious rooms and suites, The Alpina Gstaad sprawls across five acres of park grounds just above the centre of Gstaad. Wake up to beautiful mountain views and enjoy a breakfast that includes a selection of fresh, local and healthy juices. Explore the Alps during the day and come back to pamper your taste buds with gourmet cuisine at Restaurant Sommet or explore Japanese cuisine at Megu restaurant. The Six Senses Spa is a true sanctuary of
peace and wellbeing. It’s a holistic destination spa inspired by Asian wellness traditions, which are offered alongside Swiss Alpine treatments. Natural materials and design features have been used to reflect the setting — from curved walls, water features and timbers to the outdoor pool. This oasis of serenity offers world-renowned
treatments to indulge the senses. Six Senses signature massage therapies are grounded on a mix of detox, energiser, holistic and Southeast Asian philosophies. In January 2022, The Alpina Gstaad was awarded the Gold certification by EarthCheck.
The resort is Switzerland’s first to receive this coveted certification. Since embarking on this journey to a more holistic approach towards sustainability in 2016, the hotel has undergone a rigorous audit and certification process, earning its first Silver certification in 2017. Six Senses Integrated Wellness is an
innovative wellness concept that allows the in-house team to measure and analyse key physiological biomarkers to provide guests with lifestyle and nutritional advice, and design a personalised programme of spa treatments, fitness and wellness activities. The hotel also offers an important platform
for art and freedom of expression. The Alpina Private Art Collection continues to grow and includes over 60 works by leading contemporary artists such as Jacqueline Humphries, Pierre Huyghe and Wade Guyton. Here, art is seen as an expression of creative activism, with over 60% of featured work created by artists committed to environmental and social issues.
Don’t miss Joining the resident beekeeper for a workshop about how local honey is produced from the hotel’s nine private beehives
