Built to resemble the shape of a traditional
Maori fish-hook, the lodge is in perfect harmony with the landscape. The curved, earth-tone walls of the main lodge offer a sense of being enveloped and protected, while the position is high enough on the hills to afford amazing views from almost every room. Accommodation is available for a maximum
of 16 guests. Four luxurious suites each have a private terrace, along with a deep bathtub and rainforest shower. Even the bathrooms offer views of the glistening Hauraki Gulf and the outer islands. The suites are complemented by two
apartments, each sleeping up to four guests.
The classically styled Whareto (Te Reo Maori for ‘apartment’) is in the main lodge building and includes a well-stocked pantry, large lounge, dining area and two bedrooms, one featuring a large en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom has its own private terrace overlooking the ocean beyond. The Owners Villa (named Ataahua,
meaning ‘beautiful’) was completed in 2021. Contemporary Pacifica decor complements the sharp lines of this modern construction. Textured wallpapers, fresh linens and muted tones enable the carefully selected local artworks to shine. A private chef can be included with a stay at Ataahua, so with its private entrance and secluded location beyond the olive grove, it makes for the perfect discreet retreat. Dining at Delamore restaurant is a must,
featuring ingredients carefully selected from local and regional sources and paired with Waiheke or New Zealand wines. The team thrive on sharing their passion for the local area and are always on hand to offer inside tips to guests.
