PAID CONTENT FOR GRECOTEL AMIRANDES BOUTIQUE RESORT

Grecotel Amirandes Boutique Resort GOURNES, CRETE

Grecotel Amirandes Boutique Resort in Crete is an impossibly glamorous hotel, which has been built in the style of the water palaces of the Minoan kings and Venetian nobles who once ruled Crete. This unique hotel in Eastern Crete is centred around an ancient lagoon and conjures an ambience of effortless luxury. The mytholog of this resort can be seen in

its design, with the whitewashed buildings evoking a modern-day Minoan palace, combining water, Minoan marble, stone and wood. The sea surrounds Amirandes on every side, offering spectacular views from all perspectives. There’s a nature reserve on the right, an intimate sandy cove on the left and the ancient sea lagoon in the middle. There are 60 private pools for guests staying in particular suites and an Olympic-sized seafront piscine make it a fantasy for water lovers and active guests. Amirandes has a fabulous collection of

205 rooms, suites and villas, each with an individual sense of character. The modern and authentic interiors are all understated yet

luxurious. There are just 20 villas with two to five bedrooms; every villa offers stunning views of the blue Aegean or direct access to the beach, and each comes with a private garden, infinity pool and its own private cabana on the beach. Guests are taken on a culinary journey

through the world and different centuries, with references to mytholog, as well as cultures and traditions that are still alive today. Amirandes has 10 restaurants and bars, each providing fantastic, original cuisine — including the one and only Minotaur for stylish Italian cuisine, right by the lagoon. There’s also an incredible collection of genuine Picasso ceramics that adorn the Minotaur restaurant in honour of ancient ceramic art and the way it inspired the masters of the 20th century. Guests should be sure to visit the unique hotel

spa during their stay. It redefines holiday spa pampering with signature treatments using organic plants and extracts from Crete’s rare and aromatic herbs to completely revitalise, relax and rejuvenate guests.

Don’t miss Enjoy the magnificent sunset over cocktails and sushi at the Beach Bar and Sunset Lounge on the exclusive beach
