The 10 chalets at the end of a winding road that leads to the Peterhof Hotel at the Alpe Furx resort, Lake Constance, catch the eye straight away. breakfast service, which includes regionally sourced flavours and dishes. Then head out to explore the local area on a snowshoe tour or put on your skis and hit the slopes or the


cross-country trails. Summer’s the time for mountain biking, hiking or horse-riding high up in the picturesque mountains. Or kick back and relax on the sun deck


and enjoy panoramic views of the idyllic surroundings 1,140 metres above sea level. The Lake Constance region has long been


regarded as the cultural nexus of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Famous festivals include the Bregenz Festival, the Bregenzer Frühling dance festival and the Schubertiade Hohenems. Montforter Zwischentöne is the setting for concerts and performances staged three times a year at the modern Montforthaus in Feldkirch. Without the mountains, the backdrop of Lake Constance wouldn’t be half as beautiful. By the same token, the view of the lake from above is a breathtaking sight not to be missed.
