PAID CONTENT FOR HOTEL CORONA D’ORO
Hotel Corona D’Oro BOLOGNA, ITALY
Hotel Corona D’Oro perfectly preserves the original parts of the 13th-century building, among which are the medieval portico on the outside and the precious panelled ceilings covered in Renaissance frescos. The magnificent Liberty Hall, dating from the start of the 20th century, is illuminated by natural lights, thanks to its grand glass cupola, which opens during the summer months and creates an appealing and unique character. Located in the heart of Bologna, the hotel is
perfect for visiting the city’s main attractions on foot: splendid squares, museums, historical buildings, top restaurants and shopping areas. All 40 rooms (which are also pet friendly)
are stylishly appointed in the classic style and characterised by an elegant and enchanting ambiance and an expression of constant attention to detail that defines the style of the hotel. Hotel Corona D’Oro, although located in a
restricted traffic zone, is reachable by car and has its own spacious private garage complete with video surveillance.
In the autumn of 2021, the hotel inaugurated
its first in-house restaurant, Casa Azzoguidi. It’s located in one of the oldest buildings in the city, owned by the Azzoguidi family, built in the 14th century and restored in 1905. What you’ll find when you cross the threshold
of the restaurant will be a contemporary and international location, with Art Nouveau design and a refined style and attention to detail, welcoming and enveloping with its atmosphere of soft colours and fine finishes. Casa Azzoguidi offers contemporary Italian
cuisine with a meat and fish menu that follows the seasonal rhythm. Offering a link between the historical and
culinary traditions of the area, the menu also features some of the most characteristic dishes of the Bolognese and Emilian tradition. Fresh, responsibly sourced ingredients of the
highest quality are used to prepare intriguing dishes for the delight of customers’ palates. The elegant cocktail bar stocks a wide range of spirits and wines, both organic and biodynamic.
Don’t miss The well-preserved medieval historic centre, with its red roofs, towers and over 25 miles of portici, part of the city’s UNESCO heritage
