PAID CONTENT FOR THE GUESTHOUSE VIENNA

The Guesthouse Vienna VIENNA, AUSTRIA

The philosophy of The Guesthouse Vienna falls pleasantly outside the box. It combines a private feel with quality and a sense for urban trends, making it the ideal place for people who prefer to be friends and residents of the city and not just tourists. The choice of words in The Guesthouse hints

at the hotel’s concept: in the German language the term gasthaus typically refers to a rather down-to-earth restaurant with an easy-going, cordial and helpful host. Everything at this place aims at making guests feel as they would in a private apartment. The interior concept of British designer Sir Terence Conran and Conran & Partners combines trend awareness, comfort and functionality into a unique style applied in every one of the 39 rooms and suites. The large window seats in each room provide

an excellent view of the historic Albertina building or the State Opera. Fine materials underline the stylish and intimate atmosphere, which is present throughout the house. The Guesthouse cares about its cultural heritage making an elegant design statement with typical

Viennese furniture classics by Wittmann or Oswald Haerdtl. Every guest room has an espresso maker and a wine refrigerator. Coffee as well as wine, beer and non-alcoholic refreshments are provided free of charge. Austrian photographer Wolfgang Zac is

responsible for the eccentric photo-art project found on the upper floors and rooms, which adds a contemporary feel to the classy rooms. All pictures were shot exclusively for The Guesthouse Vienna at well-known places around the city. Together with the adjacent Brasserie & Bakery

on the ground floor, the hotel’s also open to the city’s residents. The chef here’s known for serving traditional dishes with a modern twist, which leads to contemporary interpretations of new flavour compositions. Crusty homemade bread, good regional products — and everything’s organic. The Guesthouse Vienna revels in its

brilliant city centre location right behind the State Opera and the Albertina. Naschmarkt, MuseumsQuartier, and the Art Historical Museum are also all within walking distance.

Don’t miss Choose from one of the four bottles of excellent Austrian wine in the mini-bar to take to dinner with you at the elegant Brasserie
