Built in 1864, this luxurious mansion is a destination in its own right. Hosts Filip and Riad have an eye for detail, with a hotel interior that exudes tranquility. Cabosse is situated in a quiet residential area of Antwerp, but still within walking distance of all the hotspots in the city. On the ground floor, there’s a living room with
beautiful marble fireplaces, and a private dining room, lit by a red crystal chandelier. There’s also an open kitchen, serving up a delicious, daily menu, as well as an extensive wine bar and wine cellar — host Riad is a highly qualified sommelier and a born raconteur, who recommends exquisite wines to accompany dishes. Every original element of the mansion has been restored to its former glory — all of which can be soaked up while enjoying afternoon high tea, with freshly made scones, sandwiches and tasty patisseries. The living room has floor-to-ceiling windows,
oversees a city garden, and has its own private patio as well as a pool house with hammam, sauna and outdoor pool. The view from the private sauna onto the garden is breathtaking.
Cabosse is home to four unique suites. The
moment you enter the Queens, the royal suite with its original high ceilings, ornaments and artwork, you’ll feel like royalty. On the same floor you will find the Askoy, named after the illustrious sailboat owned by Belgian singer Jacques Brel. Part of that boat is the centrepiece of this contemporary, bright suite, with a grand terrace overlooking the garden and pool. The Thompson suite covers the second floor,
and is named after Jim Thompson, founder of the legendary silk company. This suite has Thompson silk drapes, covering the floor-to-ceiling windows and giving this suite that extra touch of luxury. On the top floor, you will find the Moonwalker
suite, named after Michael Jackson. This suite is home to the original Borsalino hat that Jackson wore in the film, plus a whole other selection of Borsalino prototypes. The suite has a very sleek design, and its own top floor terrace. Guests from Cabosse can enjoy a personalised
butler service, and Filip and Riad and their team go the extra mile to make the stay unforgettable.
