The Circus Hotel BERLIN, GERMANY
A boutique, design-orientated hotel in the heart of Berlin, The Circus Hotel is the place to stay for travellers who want to delve into all that the city has to offer. A connection to the city they call home has always been important to the team behind The Circus and it’s the inspiration behind their ‘Behind the Curtain’ programme, dedicated to giving guests access to the stories and places that make Berlin what it is. Recent highlights have included after-hours
tours of the Natural History Museum, a visit to the kitchen of local restaurant Yumcha Heroes to learn how to make dumplings and a behind-the- scenes exploration of Tempelhof airport. Many of the activities are led by the Circus team, including trips to the Turkish market on Maybachufer, an excursion to the lakes for summer swimming and a tour of the best ice cream shops in the city. As well as taking guests out to explore the city,
The Circus also brings the best of Berlin into the hotel. On the ground floor, Lost my Voice bar is the brainchild of mixologist Nico Zillmann. As well as Nico’s carefully curated menu of classic and
contemporary drinks, Lost my Voice is also the venue for live music including the monthly Circus Sound residency Séparée Berlin, an evening of musical theatrics where Berlin’s creative and characterful souls gather. For guests interested in the neighbourhood
around The Circus Hotel, Berlin-based author Paul Scraton was commissioned to write a series of short stories based on the history of Rosenthaler Platz. Guests can hear Paul read via QR codes in the rooms and elsewhere in the hotel, or join him on one of his regular literary or history walks. In each of the hotel’s 64 rooms, you’ll find
Birkenstock beds and a small but carefully curated library of Berlin-themed books. Each room has its own look and feel thanks to the creative work of in-house designer Sandra Ernst. The courtyard, winter garden and lounge all
offer a calming oasis, with space to relax and regenerate before heading out into the city. The rooftop terrace has an honesty bar and views that take in the TV Tower, the New Synagogue and many more of the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Don’t miss Watch the sunset from the roof terrace with a bottle of the Circus’ very own craft beer
