Hotel am Steinplatz was designed by architect August Endell, first opening in 1913 as a luxury hotel that proved popular with artists, actors and intellectuals such as Brigitte Bardot, Romy Schneider and Luciano Pavarotti. The hotel is located in the popular Charlottenburg district, where its beautiful rooms and magical courtyard are tucked away behind olive green facades and impressive gothic windows. Autograph Collection Hotels — part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio — since 2013. Its aesthetic of art nouveau flourishes combined with modern design elements threads across 68 luxuriously furnished rooms and 19 dreamlike suites. Some of these offer views of the stunning courtyard, which is also where guests can enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The hotel is home to Restaurant am Steinplatz,
where Chef Oliver Fritz and his team cook with seasonal regional produce and draw on natural flavours. The dishes are elaborately composed and will surprise diners with innovative
combinations of crunchy vegetables, fresh fish and hearty meat, all embellished with close attention to detail. The 50-seater restaurant is sophisticated and cosy, with plenty of outdoor seating to make the most of the beautiful surroundings. effect bar top and deep cognac-coloured armchairs create the perfect atmosphere for lingering over cocktails inspired by the 1920s or exciting sparkling wine from the region. Then, guests can relax their body and soul in
the rooftop Spa am Steinplatz, where experienced spa therapists provide a variety of treatments. Spanning two floors, the area features a bio- and Finnish sauna, a fitness area, three treatment rooms and a rooftop balcony with views of Charlottenburg.
