Viage challenges Brussels tender Operator News
Te Auditor General of Belgium’s Council of State has recommended suspending the award of the Brussels casino licence to Napoleon Games following a challenge from current operator Viage. Brussels selected Napoleon Games, a subsidiary of Superbet, in July to operate Belgium’s largest casino for 15 years from January 2027. Contracts worth €250m or more can trigger European Commission notification requirements. With the Brussels concession estimated at €750m, the Auditor General found that the city had failed to specify these obligations in its tender documents or submit required documentation to the Commission.
