Rebooting the Casino Floor Galaxy Gaming
A rapidly growing jackpot with Old Hollywood and MONOPOLY-themed visuals doesn't just reward one player; it generates excitement for every table connected to it.
Galaxy Link can connect jackpots across tables, pits and even separate casino properties. How does that connectivity change what operators can do compared with the relatively isolated tables of the past?
Tis is really the connective tissue behind everything we're launching at G2E. Galaxy Link is our newest innovation, and it's the technology that makes these linked experiences possible. Every linked table draws from a single seed, so jackpots climb faster and hit bigger. Tat single-seed design also changes the economics for operators: they get bigger, faster-growing jackpots without the cost or complexity of funding a separate seed pool for every table and game type.
And because Galaxy Link runs on GOS Sapphire, that connectivity isn't limited to one product. It works across tables, pits, and properties, and across products, so an operator can link MONOPOLY Building Riches with Spotlight Spin Progressive today and with future Galaxy progressive themes down the road.
Dynamic Progressive introduces randomly awarded multipliers of up to 10x. Online casinos have conditioned players to expect bonuses and modifiers within the core game. How much are those expectations now influencing innovation on the land-based floor?
Players online and at tables are looking for ways to elevate the table games they already love. Dynamic Progressive, part of GOS Sapphire's electronic bonusing platform, randomly awards multipliers up to 10x on eligible wagers, adding anticipation to a game players already know how to play rather than asking them to learn something new. Players tell us that they appreciate the fact that our Dynamic Progressive product allows them to turn a low-house-edge game like Blackjack into a more volatile and exciting gaming experience without taking away from the base game they love to play.
MONOPOLY and YAHTZEE bring mechanics and imagery 190
players understand outside the casino. Can familiar brands help lower the intimidation of walking into a table game pit for the first time?
I think they genuinely can. A lot of first-time players find blackjack or poker-style games intimidating. A table themed in MONOPOLY or 3-Dice YAHTZEE removes a big piece of that barrier, because the player already knows the brand even if they've never sat at a table game in their life. Tat's a big part of why the Hasbro partnership matters to us, and we're just getting started with what we can bring to the floor through it.
I was actually standing in the pit at a casino the other day and I watched two “thirty-something” young men walking down the main aisle between the tables. Tey literally stopped in their tracks, turned to look at the MONOPOLY blackjack table, approached the table to chat with the dealer, and then sat down to play. Te players and the casino operator were happy because an appealing game was offered for play to someone who might otherwise have continued walking right by.
For years innovation moved faster online than on the casino floor. Is that gap finally closing, and what will the table game floor look like if it continues?
I think it's closing quickly, and Galaxy has assumed a leadership role in table game innovation. Tis year’s G2E lineup is a good example of that. Galaxy Link, MONOPOLY Building Riches, and Spotlight Spin were all developed to build on the success we've had with the products launched at the beginning of this year, feedback from our customers and partners, and our team of innovators.
MONOPOLY Table Games Progressive being shortlisted for Global Gaming Awards Americas' Product Innovation of the Year is a sign the industry recognises it too.
In the future, I expect the table floor to behave more like a connected network than a row of standalone tables. Featuring thrilling jackpots and bonus events, products that can be reconfigured or linked together easily, and a floor that stays fresh, without losing what makes sitting at a live table different from playing on a screen.
