INSIGHT ELECTRONIC TABLE GAMES LIGHT & WONDER

see customers going down one of two paths – multi-game ‘stadium’ deployments or dedicated single game deployments. In the multi-game stadium, these configurations range from eight- 200+ seats all connected to a suite of games. In this case each player terminal in the stadium allows the player to play up to eight games concurrently.

Alternatively, we still see our customers opting for smaller, game specific set-ups – like a single seat roulette, or a five-seat blackjack. Each of these styles work well, and the preference for which style to lean towards is often driven by customer preference and available space on the casino floor.

ETGs are one of the more complex pieces of gaming equipment on the casino floor. How important is servicing and maintaining these ETGs? Do you handle this in-house or work with a distribution network and external partners?

From the outside looking in, ETGs certainly seem quite complex, but once someone understands how they work, there is an underlying simplicity to their design. Just like any of our products, we do recommend regular preventative maintenance be performed. As to who handles the service cycles that varies by customers.

On any of the ETGs that customers lease from us, our staff provides the service. On the units the customers purchase from us, they have the option to service their units themselves, or engage with our team for service and support. We have the largest service staff of any ETG provider in the world and are always available to ensure our customers are receiving the highest level of service available.

Are Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat still the most popular titles or are game line-ups becoming more varied?

Tis answer varies by global region. In Europe and Latin America, roulette is by and large the most popular electronic table game. In the Asian markets, baccarat is the clear leader. In North America we see strong performance on roulette and blackjack, with a growing demand for the proprietary table games like Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Tree Card Poker.

Is it important to have a signature 'spin' on these classic game types or do players prefer a more traditional experience in a casino environment?

Te traditional versions have a timeless appeal that will always have a home on the casino floor. Tat said, recently we have noticed players gravitating towards our Roulette X style game play where we enhance the traditional game of roulette with exciting multipliers on every round. In most global markets the performance of Roulette X has surpassed the performance of traditional roulette.

“We will never stop innovating, as we believe there is always

room for improvement. We are consistently innovating in the three major areas of ETG – content, platform, and hardware. For content, introducing new game mechanics like Roulette X, and bringing more of our proven land-based content to the ETG format.

“On the platform side we are innovating in areas like our user interface, enhanced

reporting, and a more robust tournaments module. Lastly, on the hardware side we

recently launch a stunning re- design of our ETG signs and podiums, and will continue this redesign onto the player

terminals in the near future.”

With new iterations having hit the market annually for decades, what scope remains to improve and innovate upon ETGs? Where can improvements be made to the customer experience?

Where do you consider 'home markets' - areas where the company's ETG presence is strong - and where do you see potential for expansion?

We are the only ETG company in the world that can claim a presence in all global markets – Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Our market position varied by region – for example we are almost 100 per cent of the Australian market, but approximately 20 per cent of the US market.

As we continue to innovate, we have seen our customers embrace this innovation and continue to add incremental units to their floors. Our focus is primarily on delivering a great product to the market, and we know that our market share growth will follow.
