Te Victoria casino in Grasse in the Alpes-Maritimes region will close its doors permanently after the Directorate of Public Liberties and Legal Affairs (DLPAJ) of the Ministry of the Interior revoked its gaming authorisation, pointing out various shortcomings.
Employees are due to be informed by management of this decision as reported by French casino news service Journal des Casinos. Te Grasse casino had been underperforming for several months.
Last April, the regional chamber of accounts issued a pessimistic report on the establishment, highlighting a decline in GGR compared to the financial year before the pandemic and subsequent drop in attendance - a situation made complicated by the deficit of the independent establishment.
