INSIGHT ELECTRONIC TABLE GAMES LIGHT & WONDER

What unique assets do ETGs bring to the casino floor?

Te unique value of Electronic Table Games is generally about flexibility. Tese games allow operators the ability to offer popular table games with many different options, not always available at the live felt tables. For example, ETGs can be configured with or without dealers, offered as a single seat game or as part of a stadium with hundreds of seats, and even set- up to allow players to play multiple games at the same time.

Specific to Light & Wonder, our ETGs also offer globally recognised and market leading table game themes like Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Tree Card Poker and Roulette X alongside other public domain games. Beyond the game themes, we also offer operators the ability to offer the same games linked together across multiple casinos, a platform for hosting free-to-play ETG tournaments to help drive player interest, and a convenient central point of configuration for ease of set-up.

ETGs are expensive. What factors influence operators to upgrade? Are they typically seeking a better ROI? Do ETGs have a life span?

ETGs are not as expensive as you might believe. On a per terminal basis their pricing is aligned to the pricing seen on the slot side of the casino business. One nice thing about ETGs is that they actually tend to perform better over time. A new slot theme may hit the floor delivering a strong 90 – 120 day opening performance, and then be converted out for the next hit game. Whereas an ETG usually starts of a bit slower with performance steadily increasing over the first 90-120 days before locking in and delivering consistent results for years.

From a theme perspective most of the ETG games are timeless – roulette, baccarat, and blackjack for example. However, from a hardware perspective all good things eventually require an upgrade, and we are seeing casinos upgrade their hardware roughly every four to six years.

Better product specific ROI is important but ETGs also help operators reduce costs in other areas – such as reducing the need for table game drop box changes, casino playing chip security, and even staff scalability. Our Quartz Hybrid platform is a very powerful system that allows customers to fully augment the table games operation.

Why are there multiple configurations for every model? What role do these configurations have in spacing out casino floors of different shapes and sizes?

Almost every casino has a different overall floor layout and design, and often require different product configurations to maximise the products impact. ETGs, like our Quartz Hybrid, were designed with this flexibility in mind. So that every customer can offer the games their

players want, from an operator they can trust, but in bespoke design to accommodate their individual needs.

How do you establish the level of demand for each configuration? What does the market research involve?

We conduct market research in several ways. First, we are constantly monitoring the leading market research reports published by the different global research firms. Second, and more importantly, we are in constant communication with our customers so that we have a real-time finger on the pulse of our industry.

Luckily, our platform was designed in such a way that we are able to react pretty nimbly to the changing market needs. Often times being able to offer newly approved solutions in as little as six months from their initial request.

How varied a configuration selection do operators tend to go for? For instance, do they tend to bulk buy two varieties or opt for less across a wider range?
