Te use of wood reduces the environmental burden of the building. Te lighter weight of the material also leads to savings elsewhere in the construction. Te central bar is placed around the heart of this flower.
Te hybrid ventilation, heating and cooling system and the cooling using rainwater form the building's metabolism. Te roof, shaped like a leaf, collects the rainwater. Te casino, like a flower, uses sunlight as its energy source. Te brain of the building consists of smart building sensors and the programmable façade.
Te facade of the casino is an eye- catcher, but at the same time provides high insulation and low maintenance. Finally, the location of the casino was also carefully considered: in the transition area between the business park and the nature reserve along the Maas. For example, the building lies on the flight path of a bat colony. Terefore, several bat corridors have been designed on and around the building.

Holland Casino Venlo expects to welcome around 600,000 guests annually. Both in the field of gaming and food & beverage there is something for everyone. You can enjoy a long dinner in the Fine Dining restaurant, experience an evening of gaming fun in the NXT zone, take part in a large (international) poker event, or enjoy a performance by a well- known Dutch artist.

When a grand prize is awarded, a special colour combination can be displayed. In 2018, MVSA Architects' spectacular design was nominated for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) award in the Leisure Led Development category.
Once inside, the wooden tulip that forms the central bar immediately catches the eye. Te bar is Swiss- made, 25 metres high and it fans out like a flower at the top of the arched wooden roof. Tis is where guests can land before exploring the rest of the casino. And there is plenty to do in the new casino: in addition to the regular gaming rooms, the high limit area, the private room, the poker room and the restaurants can be found on the sides of the rooms.
Downstairs, guests can visit the regular gaming rooms and the high limit area; upstairs, guests can
further explore and admire the casino via so-called sky bridges around the central bar. Here you will also find the lower betting areas, the NXT area - Holland Casino's new gaming area where you can experience casino games such as roulette in a safe and attractive environment, and the multifunctional area. Tis area can be transformed into a concert hall where famous artists come to perform on an equipped stage, but the room can also be rented (for business purposes) or used for poker events or live bingo.
Further, in the culinary field there is something for everyone in the new casino. In the Fine Dining restaurant, guests get a sense of security through the open kitchen, wooden curves and indirect lighting. Here one can enjoy delicious and good food at a high level. In the Sports Bar, tasty burgers and salads are served and you can enjoy sports with family or friends from cosy Chesterfield sofas on large TV screens.
