Lichtenstein Rejects Casino Ban
Lichtenstein’s Casino Association has stressed that the sector offers a ‘strictly controlled gaming experience’ and moved to clarify false statements.
After the Landtag rejected the casino ban, the government has to legally order a referendum within 14 days, which must be held within three months.

Switzerland - ACE applies for casino licence The ACE SWISS Group is applying for a licence to operate a casino in the shopping arena in St. Gallen. It has submitted the application documents for an A licence to the Swiss Federal Gaming Commission.

Spain - Codere Online doubles 2019 revenues Codere Online has released its financial results for the third quarter with revenue coming in at €28.9m, 51 per cent above 2021’s comparative while net gaming revenue came in at €30.6m, 54 per cent above revenue in Q3 2021.
Mexico revenue was €11.4m, 80 per cent above Q3 2021, while Mexico net gaming revenue was €12.9m, 82 per cent above Q3 2021. Spain revenue reached €14.9m in Q3 2022, 29 per cent above Q3 2021 which was partially impacted by marketing restrictions implemented in 2021.

Following the rejection of an initiative to ban casinos by Lichtenstein’s state parliament, the issue now moves into the referendum phase in which a public vote will be held on the matter.
After the Landtag rejected the initiative Casino Ban” of IG VolksMeinung in its session of November 2 2022, the government was instructed to call a referendum in accordance with the People’s Rights Act. Te government must by law order a referendum within 14 days, which must be held within three months.
Te Lichtenstein government has set the date for the referendum on the initiative request of the ‘casino ban’ to amend the state constitution on January 29, 2023.
