Protection for Shielded Fixture Kits

NGUN’s fixture kits are well- known for their ease of operation and cassette design. Expensive dedicated fixtures can only cover one device under test (DUT). INGUN’s fixture kits can be reused for several devices — simply by swapping out the insert, while keeping the same frame and interfaces.

Several years ago, the company introduced its now- successful shield-box insert, which combines functional testing with RF shielding. This is in order to prevent RF signals from interfering with nearby devices and to protect the DUT from external RF signals. The shielding can be higher than 80 dB, depend- ing on the application and frequency range to cover. INGUN has received excellent feedback on this series. To further improve its versatility, a screwed-on ser- vice cover has been added. This allows easier access to the lower compartment. By removing this cover, the user now is able to access the inside of the lower part of the chamber, without removing the probe carrier and spring-loaded DUT plate. With this simple addition, troubleshooting and debugging are now much easier.


Another new feature is the ESD-safe coated housing with an ESD discharge button that was pre- viously only available for non-shield- ed fixtures. Full product information for this fixture kit series, which shows all the available options, is available at the company’s website.

Selco Designs New IoT Electronic Thermostats


Reno, NV — Selco Products has released its eCap series electronic thermostat. These devices are de- signed to control the temperature in an appli- cation, and also to man- age most of the energy- consuming components. The eCap series delivers energy savings through the company’s latest switching power supply technology, which con- sumes less than 30 mW while idle.
