Conductive Non-Silicone Grease from EpoxySet
Lincoln, RI — EpoxySet is now offer- ing its CTG-81, an electrically and thermally conductive, non-silicone grease. This grease offers exceptional heat dissipation with a thermal con-
CTG-81 electrically and thermally conductive grease.
ductivity of 7.2 W/m-K and an electri- cal resistance of less than 0.01 cm. It is particularly good for high- end applications where maximiza- tion of heat transfer is essential. This non-curing hydrocarbon can with- stand 392°F (200°C) continuously and will not dry out or melt. The material can be used in ap- plications that require electrical con-
tact, where no stress to the electrical pads can be tolerated. It is a free-flow- ing paste that can be easily dispensed from syringes or cartridges. It can be supplied in any size syringe or car- tridge, as well as in jars or cans. The new grease has the highest thermal conduc- tivity of any product in the company’s selection of ther- mal greases, thermal put- ties and gap fillers. Encom- passing a variety of both sil- icone and non-silicone com- pounds, some of these greases can withstand tem- peratures as high as 680°F (360°C) and are designed specially not to bleed. EpoxySet is a custom formulator of epoxies, ure- thanes, silicones, and greas- es for the electronics, medical, semi- conductor, optics, automotive, and aerospace industries. The company is able to quickly modify any of its prod- ucts for specific requirements. Contact: EpoxySet, Inc., 1 In- dustrial Circle, Lincoln, RI 02865 401-726-4500 fax: 401-726-4502 E-mail:

PACE Delivers 100th Repair System to DLA
Vass, NC — PACE worldwide recently delivered its 100th PRC 2000 minia- ture/microminiature electronics repair system to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Sup- port, part of a $1.2 million contract for 384 of the sys- tems.
The DLA is procuring the PRC 2000s in support of NAVSEA’s 2M/MTR (miniature/microminia- ture/module test and re- pair) program. The pro- gram provides the tools and techniques required for cer- tified U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard electronics repair technicians to per- form repairs on high-reliability, com- plex circuit board assemblies. The PRC 2000 is the primary electronics repair kit employed in shipboard repair shops, mobile main- tenance vans and thousands of inter- mediate maintenance facilities worldwide. The system is a work- horse and has been available since the early 1990s. Over 10,000 of the kits have been manufactured, includ- ing 3,000 for the 2M/MTR program, many of which are still in use after
more than two decades.
The PRC 2000 is designed to tackle just about any PCB through-

hole or SMT application and is suit- able for multilayer repairs on dam- aged or prototype PCBs. Capabilities include conductive, resistive and hot- air soldering, continuous-vacuum desoldering, conformal coating re- moval, solder paste dispensing, miniature machining/drilling, com- ponent handling, and thermal wire stripping.
