San Diego, CA — AMETEK Program - mable Power has added three new models to its Asterion™ line of AC/DC power supplies. The Asterion 1503 supplies up to 1,500 VA or 1,500W; the Asterion 2253 supplies up to 2,250 VA or 2,250W; and the Asterion 3003 supplies up to 3,000 VA or 3,000W. All three units come in a 2U enclosure and in both single- and three-phase models. Like the lower-power, 1U
Asterion AC units, models 1503, 2253 and 3003 offer a combination of per- formance and modularity that make them adaptable and affordable. The key to the series’ performance is AMETEK’s iX2™ current-doubling tech nology. With iX2, as the output voltage decreases from the maximum value to one-half the maximum value, the available output current increases up to two times the rated output cur- rent. This allows Asterion to main- tain maximum power through a wide range of voltages. As a result, iX2 current-doubling technology elimi- nates the need to buy multiple power supplies or overpowered supplies to run tests at different voltage levels, such as when performing low line voltage testing. Other benefits include auto-par-

Waldenburg, Germany — Würth Elektronik eiSos has integrated com- ponent libraries for Altium, Cadence OrCAD and Allegro, CADSTAR, Eagle, LTspice, Modelithics and S- Parameter to create a special service for electronics developers. Until now, the data models
have been available as downloads on the individual product pages of the online catalog. The company is now providing them in an easily-accessi- ble, central location. For Altium, Cadence OrCAD and Allegro, CADSTAR, Eagle and S-
while the others serve as auxiliary units. The clock/lock feature allows users to easily configure multiphase systems, such as split-phase, three- phase or high phase count systems. The Asterion series offers wide AC and DC output voltage ranges up

up the power supply and run tests. The Asterion series offers a complete avionics test suite as an option, with a programmable frequency between 16 and 5,500 Hz. The series comes with standard
LAN, USB and RS-232 interfaces, with an optional GPIB interface. Virtual Panels control software comes bundled with the instrument for remote control by a computer. Included drivers also allow test engi- neers to quickly integrate the unit
