Dual-Channel TDR from Megger Can Detect Illegal Taps
Norristown, PA — Megger is now offering an advanced, dual-channel, time domain reflectometer (TDR), which can detect illegal taps without having to power down the line under test. The TDR2050 has a built-in 600V CATIV input protection filter, giving it the ability to connect to known live lines. This time domain reflectometer contains a
large, color, WVGA display with easy set up fea- tures. Directional control buttons and soft keys pro- vide both intuitive and easy operation for the user. A built-in “AutoFind” mode allows for speedy identifi- cation of faults. One press of the AutoFind key auto- matically adjusts the range and gain, while position- ing the cursor to the first major event on the cable. When the key is pressed again, the cursor jumps to the next detected dis- turbance. Useful for locating faults on
paired metallic cables by electrical service contractors, telecommunica- tions technicians as well as cable televi- sion companies, the TDR2050 includes an auto selection option to ensure that the most effective parameters are cho- sen, depending on the range required, aiding rapid diagnosis of the TDR trace. A manual override on the unit allows for fine-tuning to enable identi- fication of hard to find faults. The TDR2050 offers dual-trace
and dual-cursor capabilities allow- ing for full flexibility, giving the operator complete control and instant notification of the distance between two points. A trace compar-
ADLINK Intros IoT Deployment Solution
San Jose, CA — ADLINK Technology has introduced its ADLINK Edge™ Internet of Things (IoT) solution. Following market leading R&D investment, extension of its partner ecosystem and successful global cus- tomer IoT deployments in 2019, ADLINK Edge has proved to be faster, easier and more cost-effective to deploy than its rivals, based on industry feedback. ADLINK Edge can quickly and
securely connect, stream and control operational data — regardless of the industrial equipment, systems, data- bases, or cloud platforms already in use. Using that data, Edge enables rapid, real-time, intelligent decision- making, empowered by artificial intelligence (AI), analytics tools, and machine learning. With no programming neces-
sary, ADLINK Edge can quickly con- nect previously unconnected opera- tional equipment, sensors and devices. Then, by tapping into native communication protocols, data can be capture and streamed at the edge. From the edge, this data can then be streamed securely between devices, databases and the cloud, enabling analysis and easy visualization to inform decisions and optimize opera-
tions in real time. Contact: ADLINK Technology, Inc., 5215 Hellyer Avenue, Suite

ison feature allows for close examination between trace conditions. The unit’s trace tagging function is saved into
Megger’s TraceXpert software, which gives full control over downloading, reporting and uploading of saved trace results. Up to 100 trace memories can be saved into the unit’s trace storage and later be recalled to the display for analysis or can be compared with an active display to help find a fault location. These results can also be down-
loaded onto a computer by USB. Contact: Megger, 2621 Van Buren Avenue,
