of orders, from small to large and from prototype to high volume, is far ahead of our closest competitors.” When there is a choice about
where to take electronic assembly outsourcing needs, that choice de- serves to be backed by both internal processes and proven, dependable re- sults. For this reason, the company is ISO 9001:2015-certified. Its manu- facturing of electronic equipment, PCBs and assemblies is overseen by a quality management system that adheres strictly to the quality-control requirements of the world’s largest organization concerned with issuing and maintaining standards. EMSG is also one of a few compa-
nies FDA-registered for the manufac- turing of PCBs for demanding medical and health-care applications.
Dependable Partnerships To grow and remain strong, as
well as to continue to build a reputa- tion for quality, EMSG depends on its partnerships with key industry manufacturers. EMSG relies on a small group of companies for its tech- nology solutions. Among these part- ners are Hanwha Techwin Precision Machinery and MIRTEC Corp. Hanwha Techwin Precision Ma-
chinery provides customers with solu- tions that include state-of-the-art printing, placement, reflow, and board handling technologies to achieve high quality and price performance, with- out compromising flexibility and growth path on demand. All systems include installation,
training, warranty, 24/7 technical phone support, next business day on- site support, next business day ship- ment of emergency spare parts, and more. After developing the first chip mounter in 1989, Hanwha Precision Machinery has become a leading worldwide smart factory solutions provider with the goal of developing customer-oriented solutions that de-
liver greater efficiency, versatility and value. “EMSG and Hanwha have en-
joyed a positive, collaborative part- nership for many years,” says Robert Watters, regional sales manager, Hanwha Techwin. “EMSG has been a prime participant in our ‘Voice of Customer’ (VOC) initiative. As a rap- idly growing, high-mix EMS suppli- er, EMSG has partnered with Han- wha in implementing technology to address both standard PCB size as- sembly requirements as well as 1.2m PCB size requirements in both pick- and-place and stencil printing disci- plines. As a result, both EMSG and Hanwha have experienced signifi- cant growth in the 1.2m PCB assem- bly market segment.” MIRTEC, based in Connecticut,
is a global supplier of automated in- spection systems to the electronics manufacturing industry. EMSG pre- viously purchased and currently uses two MIRTEC MV-3L AOI systems to detect component-level defects, such as missing or misplaced components, those with wrong polarity, damaged components, and more. Defects are easily recognized and reported. The systems detect lead-level de-
fects, such as bridging and insufficient solder for components as small as 16 mil (0.4 mm) pitch. It also has six Han- wha Techwin systems on its line: three SM421 intelligent systems that offer chip placement speeds up to 21,000 CPH and that place 01005 (0402 met- ric) up to 0.09 in.2 (55 mm2) compo- nents with placement accuracies of ±1.2 mil (0.03 mm) at three sigma, and one SM482/FR large-format pick-and- place machine with 47.2 x 18.1 in. (1,200 x 460 mm) board placement ca- pability. Chip placement speeds for the system reach 22,000 CPH. The system places components from 01005 (0402 metric) up to 0.09 in.2 (55 mm2) in size. The company also owns a De- can F2 high-speed pick-and-place ma- chine, as well as an ESE printer. “We purchased our

MIRTEC AOI system in 2007 and then quickly purchased another in
